  1. We started off well, some nice one-touch football, with Dobbin impressing. But they have walked through us way too easily, way too many times.
  2. It's not working on the everton site for you? https://evertontv.evertonfc.com/live/videos/a1055889-a113-4909-9648-a34a65cb1086
  3. Hoping to see Gomes play a blinder this evening, otherwise he can fuck off!
  4. I for one will not be holding any grudges... Well, that is at least until he starts hitting the first defender with his crosses!
  5. I do get the impression that the club and Dyche have tried to treat him well; helping him with his recovery and giving him the patience and time he needs. The interview he did recently obviously shed a lot of light on what was going on, and he seemed to really be wanting to get back to his best. I do hope that he can do that, and it would be great to see him do that that with us, because there is a very good player in there somewhere. I would like to think that he will be given a chance here to show what he can do. But if the club and the player decide that a loan spell to the Championship would be better for his recovery, then I suppose you can't argue with that. Depression, addiction, trauma... these are not things that you just wake up one day and are free from. It takes time to heal. Whatever happens he'll need support to get back to fulfilling his potential, but I'm not going to lie; I would love that potential to be fulfilled in an Everton shirt with the the full support of the club and the fans behind him.
  6. We've bracked out of the breal abbarently, when Kenwright heard how much they wanted he said that's Braylight Brobbery.
  7. I hope he comes here to prove a point after snubbing us in January and sitting on Spurs' bench for the remainder. Wasn't hopeful of getting him once AC Milan started getting rumoured, but the optimist in me is hoping it's one of those "it was always meant to be" things and he turns out to be out new Pienaar. The only thing that worries me is that its said to be done by the weekend - that's 48 hours away!
  8. If he scores once every two games, over the course of the season that 15-20 goals, assuming he plays of course. Did anyone in our whole squad get double figures last season? I have the feeling of beggars can't be choosers and at this moment in time anyone is better than no-one.
  9. Maybe not, but a bunch of injuries, which is always likely, and we're in shit street again. For his versatility alone I would think about keeping Iwobi. However, his end product leaves much to be desired and as @RuffRob said, he is not a player who is irreplaceable.
  10. The key point he made for me was the ultimate acceptance of his condition and the need for help. That is such a huge step in itself. It's only once you are able to admit to yourself that you need help that you can really start to heal. There is always still a long way to go but those first steps are so important. I'm glad, on a human level, that he's finally found the inner strength to do that. We all know there's a player in there and I would love to see him get through this and getting back to his best in an Everton shirt. Well done Dele, and good luck in your recovery.
  11. I suppose a good addition all things considered.
  12. My understanding of the situation in January was that it was because of the manager getting sacked. To be fair, would anyone in their right mind join us after the manager getting sacked a few days before the end of the window, and with our track record in managers recently - thinking Allardyce, FSW. He was right to steer well clear.
  13. I can see this Barkley thing dragging on till the last day of the window. He'll then sign for us January.
  14. Not sure how I feel about this one, to be honest. I suppose we need numbers so I guess there's that.
  15. Are RyanAir doing man bags and funky socks these days?
  16. With Simms gone, all we need now is for Maupay to be shipped off to France and DCL to be injured in the pre-season passing drills and we'll be all set for another exciting season! Can't wait, COYB!!!
  17. Oh well, that's fucking great news! It's just what we need: Our only striker turning up on a Saturday afternoon, all blurry-eyed, barely able to keep them open, mechanically trudging onto the pitch like some kind of footballing automaton, staring blankly into the mass of faces in the Gwladys Street end as he wonders whether he really exists anymore; the the line between dream and reality dissolving to a hallucinatory haze because he hasn't slept in like 17 days. FFS! And yet, something tells me he'd still be a better option than Maupay. In all seriousness, congratulations and good luck to the lad.
  18. Relying on academy players and praying DCL stays fit (something he's failed to do for the last two seasons) will see us relegated, 100 percent! How does the saying go? You'll never win anything with kids! The bare minimum we need is a decent striker. We just don't score enough goals. Academy players are not the answer to that problem. I'm all for bringing players through, but no one wants another relegation battle.
  19. They'd have to get someone in a headlock first presumably.
  20. Looks like The Guardian are not gonna let this one rest.
