  1. I'm only hopeful if DCL plays, otherwise a draw is the best I'm hoping for. We are a much better team when he plays. I'd be willing to risk him even if he's not 100%, seeing as a win this weekend could be vital, and at least we have the home advantage if it comes to it on the final day of season.
  2. As much as I'd love to see him back, I just don't think it makes sense - on many levels.
  3. Can anyone really see James in a Sean Dyche team?
  4. I think we need a minimum of 4 points to secure safety, but that is still leaving it to chance. Obviously, it all depends on what happens at the weekend, but if either of Leeds or Leicester win and we don't, then we go into final game in the bottom three needing a win and for results elsewhere to go our way. Not ideal. Having said that I'm quietly confident that we should get something out of the Wolves game, at least as long as DCL is fit. That should at least leave our fate in our own hands.
  5. Guardiola was apparently not happy with Mina after the match. Anyone know what that's all about?
  6. Not what we need to hear right now. We need him for these last two games.
  7. I get the feeling after his reaction going off that he knows his time is up. He hasn't performed when given the chance, and it's not the first time. I've never really liked his attitude, comes off very arrogant, but doesn't really have the skillset to match it. Having said that, I don't wish him any ill. He's just not good enough to get in team. And considering the level we are at, that says a lot.
  8. Saw him when he went off. Sat down on the bench and hid his head in his shirt.
  9. Can't be too disheartened about the result, it being somewhat expected given City's quality. Going down to two good goals before half time pretty much put the game to bed. Then taking DCL off at half time, well....I've no idea what Maupay brings to the team, it's like we're playing with 10.5 men when he's on. We're a much better team now than several months ago. That much is clear. Hopefully, good enough (just) to get enough points in the last two games to stay up. The way we've been playing lately suggest that is possible.
  10. I quite like him, but still seems somewhat naive at times. Hopefully, with experience that'll disappear.
  11. Gone for McNeil but I think Pickford ran him a close second
  12. And he's not even on the pitch
  13. If we end up losing this we deserve to go down
  14. Does that make Doucs our joint leading scorer? Great finish, and busted his balls to get there.
  15. Definitely gonna need to score again to get something out of this game
  16. Nice start. Thought he'd pulled it back too far at first.
  17. Hopefully the Brighton lads are out on a three-day bender after last night's result.

  19. That's the frustrating thing. We have the ability to put a bit of pressure on teams, but lack the cutting edge to make that count and have an abundance of error-proneness at the back!
  20. I'd written off West Ham as regelation contenders but on reflection, I think they are by no means safe. Next two games are against the two Manchester teams, then they are away to Brentford, before two potentially massive 6 pointers against fellow strugglers Leeds and Leicester. In between all that they've got at least two high-stakes European games. They could well be in the back in the mix for relegation come the final day of the season.
  21. Felt the game was there for the taking. Why the fuck do you get the players to run themselves into the ground but don't bring on subs when they are blatantly running on empty from the 70th minute.
  22. We need a change. We've had the upper hand but have lost the momentum.
