  1. Team getting applauded off the pitch.....it's unheard of!
  2. Quite excited for this game. An unusual feeling of late, admittedly. Really interested to see how we turn out, and am surprisingly optimisic. Hoping to see a revitalised team, playing with energy, for the shirt and with a plan. We can lose, but if I see these things, I'll be happy.

  5. Well I wasn't expecting miracles today, but I was expecting something... anything!
  6. It strikes me as obvious that it should be this way. I remember reading a book as a kid about football training, the only thing that I remember from it was that you should train as your play; i.e. full kit, shin pads, boots, the lot. It made sense then and it makes sense now. My football career never took off (in fact never even got started) but I'm a musician and the same rule applies. If I practice like I'm playing in my bedroom, that's how I play. That doesn't translate to stage performance, you need to practice as if you have a crowd of people in front of you for that later to come out well when your are actually up there. Studio performance is again another thing, where it's more about playing cleanly and accurately.
  7. Don't worry lads. Tomorrow is Transfer Deadline Day and we'll have the joy of having to listen to Jim White on Talksport all day teasing us with rumour galore. And who doesn't like a bit of constant Twitter refreshing to make the day go a little bit quicker. At the end of it all, we'll all be just too tired to care anymore, so we can fall asleep easily knowing we'll probably wake up the morning after to find out we found the fax machine in the old store room and managed to get the papers in just in time to sign a 33 year old proven yet injury prone league one striker on a 8 year contract. COYB!
  8. Moyes' worst season he had us finishing 17th. The season after that we finished 4th. If that's how we finish under Dyche this season and next, that'll do me!
  9. First class communication with the fans from the club! Every man and his dog has known since yesterday that he's been appointed, yet they still haven't, and probably won't for another 48h, even tell the fans what's happening. The same when Lampard was sacked. How long was it before they finally confirmed it? What was that about better communication with the fans? It's simply incompetence.
  10. Wasn't it stated that Lampard wanted to keep him to build a team around him? (Maybe not exactly around him, but as a key component). Rhetorical question... Couldn't give a rat's arse about the answer now. Obviously not Everton material, if he thinks downing tools and dropping down a level (clubwise) to Newcastle is the right thing to do, good luck to him . Haha! See ya! Say hi to Dan Gosling. Really though, it's a shame. I thought after last season he was really gonna push on. But I can't have respect for someone who gets paid a week what many earn in a year, yet can't even turn up for a couple hours of training.
  11. I wasn't, and am still not, over enamored by this appointment, but after watching the Masterclass video he definitely seems like someone who has a plan. I did like that one of the things he emphasized was effort. If he can get us playing with a plan and with effort, I'll be happy (for now, at least). If anything, I'm just hoping he can instil some stability, and start grinding out results, which is certainly what we need. Having said that, we are still very short up top, and it is still imperative we get more fore power in before the end of Tuesday. If we don't, we fooked anyway.
  12. It definitely shows he's someone who is serious about his job.
  13. Not expecting any official announcement till about next Tuesday...that's the Everton way.
  14. I read it like you were really putting thought into what you wanted to write.
  15. If it ends up being Dyche, this vid might provide some insight into his MO. https://youtu.be/o3YY7PY-IH0
  16. Ooo! This seems like exactly the kind of turmoil we are magnets for right now. Can see this happening! I'm off to SkyBet....
  17. He states clearly that he is in it for the long run and not looking to sell (just investment), but at the same time that this is released The Guardian publishes an article saying he's put it up for sale.
  18. I It's getting clearer by the day how badly we are run, I wouldn't be surprised if we're in administration before the end of the season, the way it's going.
  19. I really wanna say "unbelievable", but the fact is it so isn't. I actually had high hopes for this one. An actual attacking player in our team.
  20. I'm quitting football if they bring Allardyce in.
  21. We don't usually come back after the breaks well. I can't see this being any different, unless we get some forward thinking players in sharpish and there is a complete change in the mentality of the team.
  22. If he can pass forward, he'll have an instant impact on this team.
