  1. For his sake, small steps! I agree. Really he hope he can get back to enjoying his football
  2. I feel he's a great addition not for his footballing skills as for his leadership quality. Also loved his reaction to his (disallowed) goal; just showed how much he has bought in already.
  3. Gutted the goal didn't stand. The passion he showed in the celebration was immense. clearly offside tho.
  4. Falling in love with this guy. Really solid player. Legend potential!!
  5. Gone for between 11th and 14th. Would be more than happy to be in the top half, but feel that might be being a little too optimistic.
  6. Pickford Patterson Coady Tarkowski Mykolenko Gana Iwobi Onana Gray Maupay Gordon
  7. Do I get extra points for predicting Onana gets sent off?
  8. I think they might see him as gettable in that regard, and the atmosphere might be a little too much. Hoping to be proved wrong. It will be difficult enough with 11 I feel.
  9. Looks to me as if he's saying...yeah but seriously, that rainbow flag is really on the kit!!??
  10. What's the odds on him getting sent off if he starts at the weekend?
  11. I was also thinking it was today, and was wondering where all the usual hype in the media was.
  12. Had some guests over from overseas,so obviously was more interested in chatting with them, so only had the match on in the background today. However, every time I looked at the screen, they were in our defensive third. When we scored the first goal, I was a little surprised. That they got their equaliser, not surprised. Rthe fact we scored another goal, albeit disallowed, gives me the feeling that at least we are not going to be relegated. As I said, I didn't really watch the match, but from what I saw they really put pressure on us, but we managed to score two goals (an inch better pass/run and we would have won) against a team that is currently in the top 5. Ok, I know I'm clutching at straws, but there is progress, and a point away at Eland Road is a decent result.
  13. I've heard he can be a right beach in the dressing room.
  14. To be fair, I thought he was referring to the FA, etc.
  15. Frank seemed to just repeat the same phrase that he needs to keep working. I think this is part of it, but it also seems that his head is gone. Whatever the reason, if he does well he's gone, if he doesn't do well he's done. Either way, I don't think we'll ever see him in an Everton shirt again. Good luck to him. He's obviously not in a good place mentally, so I just hope he can at least find peace within himself.
  16. That we don't have to sell AG is good news. That we are prioritising bringing a striker also good news.
  17. It is striking to me that the conversation around this subject is still entrenched in the same old tropes. It illustrates the fact that although Brexit is apparently done, there still remains a huge gap in the British cultural mindscape as to what the relationship of Britain and the British people is to Europe, what it means to be both British and European, and our identity as both Europeans, but not Europeans. This subject always was, and still continues to be, backwards-looking and stuck in the past.
  18. Can you expand on that? I don't recall anything where I could say he was particularly bad, also nothing particularly outstanding. But I saw him try a few things which didn't come off, which made me think that a better striker would have benefited the situation more.
  19. I have a feeling he would suit having a real target man making runs into the box (DCL?).
