  1. Who needs a fucking striker….. when we have the Duke!!!!!
  2. 2 Keepers. 2 Defenders. 2 Midfielders. 1 Forward. Would have preferred another attacking player swapped with a keeper. Or maybe a midfielder.
  3. Overall happy with this window. The starting 11 looks much stronger for me, but time will tell. We have managed ao get rid of a lot of dead wood and that is what is really needed for the club to survive long term. The only first team player gone is Iwobi, but we’ve added possibly four first team players. Would have liked a Gana type to come in, but understand that we have a year to look for that player. Just pray for no injuries. Would have also liked a CB to come in, but I’m happy that Branthwaite is held in such regard that we didn’t really go for one. But this could sting us. Some astute business been done though so happy enough without being overjoyed. We’ve started the season with three losses and no goals, no we need to get back to business and see what impact the new signings can have.
  4. You ever saw any thread on TT stay on track? It’s our thing!
  5. But for perspective I just typed… top chances created 2022-2023. Trippier is second with 110 But on the Twitter one he’s bottom of the other 14. All depends on which stat site you look at doesn’t it.
  6. Look, we all have opinions and that’s great. But if he goes results will speak for themselves one way or the other. I don't have any hate for him at all and wish him the best if he moves.
  7. Don’t put perspective into the equation haha. He has his best season last season. There’s your answer. I still remember that last day, was one of the most stressful games I have been at.
  8. I agree Palf. But we don’t have the resources to replace everyone. What we can do is replace the mainstay first and work on progressing the rest in the future. Garner may become better as he plays more in the middle. Onana has the potential of becoming a player capable of that position. But I think both of them need another year at least. Doucoure is at his level I’m afraid. Love the lad, but his ceiling has been reached. Happy with him, but not expecting him to improve much. Phillips will be an astute signing if we can get realistically get him. But that’s a big if.
  9. I expect he will. But I do expect he will also slow down rapidly. His main strength is his energy, and once this goes we may see him decline fast.
  10. Just worry we can’t replace him mate. Look at the shit show the other night. None of them can pass a short ball. Any footballer knows that you can ping balls across to the other side of pitch while warming up to each other, but put two players ten yards apart and ask them to pass the ball between them and you WILL see it bounce all over the place, even with premier league players. Thats why the players that can do it are worth so much. Barca in the 2000’s we’re so good because they had a midfield that we’re all capable of doing it. Man City do it for fun now. Watched Newcastle v Liverpool and saw the midfield struggle to put five passes together. Phillips is a very capable player and would step into that slot perfectly for me. Gana is in his last year of contract and surely his legs are going to slow down next year. We need a player like Phillips to step into his shoes. Then he can be my new focus
  11. 100% agree mate. I’m probably his biggest fan. But I do worry that he is in his last year for us and I cannot see another player on the squad that replace him.
  12. That would be the replacement for Gana that were crying out for. Please let it be a goer.
  13. Don’t think anyone hates him. Haven’t really heard people say anything like that. I just don’t think he is a player that can take us above where we are that’s all. Had his best season ever last season and we survived in the last day. 20m for me is a steal.
  14. I’m to busy driving up to Goodison to offer a lift to start celebrating yet!
  15. One half of football and a goal, a goal ruled out and hits the post. Imagone if he scores on his full debut, that would Beto good to be true surely.
  16. This could just end up being the best transfer window in the history of the premier league… you know, when football was invented.
  17. One assist and he’s our answer. Got to love Evertonians. You should all be concentrating on our 30 goal a season striker that will carry us to the champions league.
  18. Watched him last night and lost interest to be honest. He just didn’t look that good. 25m seemed a lot.
  19. The lad is just unfancied by some. Feels like people watch him closely waiting for him to give the ball away so they can comment. Take the first match. Iwobi was great, Gana was shit and can’t pass. Then someone posted the pass accuracy and completion and it showed that Gana actually had better stats than Iwobi. There’s a reason why managers still pick him at his age. But once we have built up a picture, as humans we find it hard to break that back down. I can’t stand Iwobi, though I do vote him for MotM at times…. But even that’s begrudgingly haha.I feel happy he contributed to something…. But at the same time I’m wishing it was someone else.
  20. Said this loads of times. He does the simple things that most can’t. Links defence and attack up with simple balls. Quick five yard passes that so many players can’t complete. Someone mentioned Phillips in another thread. We need to go for someone like that to replace him. No one else in the squad is capable of filling that hole.
  21. He deserves it. If we could get a few mill for him then we should let him go.
  22. He was itching to come on. Did you see his warm up, getting the players to get on with throw ins to speed it up. Made it look like he cared about winning this match. When he came on he carried on that enthusiasm.
  23. Problem is he won’t get much time here. We have Harrison and McNeil to come back and Iwobi will likely stay as well. A loan would do him more good.
