I know I'm too optimistic but I even watch highlights when we lose, just love watching these guys kick a ball around.

I can't help it. Still counting down the days till this match. We have been starved recently...I can't wait till the next match.

Do we have a link up to Roberto telling baines to apologise. I took it as Baines saw the reports and apologised to his teammates because he thought it was taken out of context. But it seems Roberto has made him apologise. I don't know why he would feel he had to. I could understand Baines taking it upon himself to go and apologise because he wouldn't want his teammates feeling it was criticism against them....and it wasn't. But again, great respect to Baines for reacting this way. Unless of course he was made to....in that case Baines isn't the character I thought he was.

Real worry for me. How are we going to find a replacement for him. We need to be searching high and low for Barry Jnr.

Went for McCarthy for an all action display. Barry looked good on hos return and coleman had a spell where he looked hos old self again. Good cameo from Mirralas, let's see if he can keep it up now.

You didn't watch Aresnal or man utd then. First half was slow and boring, second half we had the intensity...we just couldn't create enough chances to score.

We have the manager we have though. Nothing we can do to change that so we need to deal with the cards we are dealt. I understand where your coming from though.

I'm gonna say it, much better second half from us and the manager got the subs right. Both changed the game. Finishing was poor and that's down to the players. Really good cameo from Kev.

He's playing well, I'm happily surprised. His previous appearances have been mediocre at best, but this is more like it. Wouldn't say he has anywhere near warranted a starting place. But this could be the one. Great free kick too, unlucky there.

Excellent tackle. McCarthy and Barry have been good today, can't say anyone else has really stood out. Lots of average games. Maybe Coleman for his ten minutes of energy.

Tough for him to defend when he is stuck between three players though...surprised commentators don't pick up on that ..they are usually ex players.

Nothing would make me more happy. I'm sure he is trying.

We are going through a really tough period this season. The players are suffering, the manager is suffering and the fans are suffering. This is affecting the way we play and the results we are seeing. We dont have players with hearts of iron, we have players with hearts of gold. Because of this we play and rely too much on confidence, you can see it on players faces and in thier body language. Martinez is trying to be his usual ultra confident self because he believes he needs to for his players. Again, because of this he is making so many mistakes. From his mouth to his tactics. Playing great football didn't work. Now we're trying to be more solid and it's uninspiring and dull. Is that Martinez actually trying? I don't know, but it could be. Is Martinez a clown? No he isn't, he is just a guy trying his best and failing. Are we giving him to much stick? No, he deserves the criticism, but he also deserves some respect for trying to breath the beautiful game into our players lungs. Should we wait until the end of the season and let the club speak? Of course we should. We are not going to sack him before the season finishes, so let's see what he can do.

How good would it be to see RM make a statement and give them a chance.
