  1. The problem with these sort of things is that it assumes Patterson would have stopped Mitoma? Personally I think once Coleman is back, that's the Right Back position sorted.
  2. Also, for their goal... Easy for me to say, and I know it caught Pickford off guard, but my first impression was that it seemed bizarre to try to get the ball with his left hand rather than swinging his right over and at it
  3. Unlucky that. Yeah, there'll be the usual calls against Dyche. It can be frustrating but also understandable why he does what he does. What I am pleased with is how much these players seem up for it. Totally different to the champagne Charlie's we've invested heavily in in recent years. Scrappy and deliberate but I'd have taken a point before KO
  4. Gotta be honest, I don't agree with those decisions. Should be judged by the feet...not length of your upper body. Fuck it though...we're due one!!!
  5. Latest club video... it's looking absolutely superb
  6. ....also, just to add (sorry!). I don't think the new stadium is at all a bad thing for us. The fans are going to get a great experience, the atmosphere is going to be fantastic. The players will love playing there and the overall match day experience is going to be superb. However...I also don't think it will be the golden egg it could have been. Mainly due to how the club finances, sale etc has gone. I'm very sceptical of how much extra revenue will be invested back into the club. Not to mention maintaining the 'shiny new thing'.
  7. Inevitable that prices will go up. Not only because its a 'shiny new thing' with demand higher than capacity, but also the way it has been financed and the way the club is being structured and sold. Be interesting to know how those clubs with newer stadiums/redevelopments have gone about things. How the likes of the shite, Arsenal, Spurs have changed their prices. It's one of those where we somehow have to trust the people who run the club to do the balanced thing with fans taken into account . Increase prices to pay off debt and invest in the squad, become more competitive? Or leave the prices lower to appease the legacy of the fans...but pay less off the debt and stay uncompetitive? That's where the (lack of) trust comes in...there's no guarantee that increased prices will pay off debt and invest in the squad over lining the pockets of all the, clearly, multiple people and 'shadow' companies involved.
  8. I know Dyche detractors will take any opportunity... Thats the first home game of 2023 that West Ham haven't managed to get a goal. We have to do what we have to do. Absolutely no one that I know of, on here or in my circles, expected anything spectacular this season or next. No matter who was in charge. We all agreed we'd take the ugliest football ever so long as we didn't have to fight relegation again. We ain't going to be fighting relegation this season. We're playing better football than we have for a good few years, IMO. Generally, overall. Better than those before him, Inc Ancelotti...all of whom had much bigger spending budgets and bigger overall squads.
  9. Listen... I'll take another 10 of these this season where all we can moan about is Dyche not making subs
  10. I agree...its blatantly obvious we need some fresh legs out there.
  11. So, he's available to sign for anyone at all, on a free. Has been available since the window shut to absolutely any club in Europe...but is still unsigned? Sorry, but I think JP needs to find a new agent. This one sounds like a clown. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/oct/25/jean-philippe-gbamin-everton-free-agent
  12. Oh shit. Just seen this on Sky Sports news. Obviously wasn't expecting that. Quite a shock. RIP Bill. We'll all have views on him, and rightly so. Like many, I just wish he'd walked away when he should have. Enjoyed himself some years of peace and quiet. We'll have views on his whys etc which I'm sure we'll talk openly about in time but for now it's a 'virtual' moment of silence.
  13. Yeah. We have to remember he's young and has had a couple of nasty injuries. We need him to come good!
  14. I'm not sure the intention was to play him as much as he has. But needs must. A good spare player to have around, certainly not a starter every time.
  15. No excuses today. However, the consistency of refs will, and should be, in the spot light again. When it's close calls, fair enough. But those decisions today have no excuses.
  16. Ah bugger. We went for the goal. Always a danger but we give it a go. There's some real positives to take from today...as hard as that may be. We'll be more than OK this season. There's plenty of signs of that.
  17. Garner must be one of the Gaffers Boys
  18. In todays rules, its a pen. Right or wrong, that's the rules. The players know this, hence they always go in with their arms tucked. Part of me thinks 'unlucky Keane'...but it happens to him too often. It stops being bad luck.
  19. You don't let go when you get a bone, do you? Any opportunity. Always been the same on here.
  20. Oh no. Longest 45mind ever coming up. Ultra defensive. In some ways, what needs must but we weren't doing that bad.
  21. ...also, although Young was a dick, the ref isn't being balanced with his decisions. One of those red shite players (with an unsayable long name ) committed 4 fouls in the first half hour and got nothing. There's not been a bad tackle in this game. Yet there's a red card. In my opinion, refs set themselves up when they're too quick to get the cards out. Ruins the game.
  22. Frustrating how we find ways to make it harder for ourselves. Young, most experienced player out there. Before that, was gonna say Garner has been a ghost. Really needed to step up. He's had more at Right Back...from taking throw ins. Poor game but I'd keep him at RB as he is reliable. Other than that, Frustrating when we get forward. We hold onto the ball too long. Unfortunately we don't have the ability to zap it around...well, not if we want to keep the ball anyway!
  23. Strongest line up at the moment for us that is. Can't complain at that Let's get into em! We're on a winning streak!
