Cumbria mate...surrounded by the bloody stuff. It's a crime that we have to pay for it when we could go up the road and help ourselves ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I think the deal will go through eventually and 777 will be our new owners.
It fills me with dread tbh so I'll be hoping that we can survive their time as owners as I don't think it'll be a long tenure.

No it doesnโ€™t need to be sold.ย
All these loans weโ€™ve got are to complete the stadium, but right now we donโ€™t have an asset to secure them against. When we do everything can be restructured.ย
777 have done most of the lending anyway, so if they get control of the club itโ€™s pretty straightforward.ย

Yes. Right now we have big debts but technically nothing to show for it. Once the stadium is complete we have a massive asset that generates turnover, and a debt offset against the asset. Itโ€™s not about selling it either, itโ€™s just security.ย
Weโ€™re just in a bridging phase for the remainder of the build.ย
Financially the stadium wonโ€™t be a problem when itโ€™s up and running.ย

I wasn't on about selling the house. I'm happy living in it and renting out the spare rooms ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
I'm on about my house being worth more than my debt...so I can release cash against it.
I mean, I could be completely wrong here! But is that not just business? Businesses regularly use their assets as a means to guarantee any cash they need to then go and grow and expand the business?
Now, before anyone gets this twisted. I'm not at all saying that we're all OK. Everything will be fine. My only point here is that a chunk (not all!) of the debt MIGHT be 'safe' as it's been used to build an asset that will generate more value over time. Which, again, is business, right?!

Does the stadium not become an asset that offset some of the debt? No doubt the stadium value will be more than the cost to build.

If you can carry on making your mortgage repayments until you are ready to sell and the value of your property is more than mortgage then yes itโ€™s an asset.ย
BMD should have been an asset to the club in more ways than just financially, but because we canโ€™t afford the loan repayments and still havenโ€™t borrowed all the money needed to pay for it, itโ€™s turned out to be a millstone around our neck.ย
Have you told your wife and kids of your plans for a financially secure future for yourself, when you do let me know how you get on when you get out of hospital ๐Ÿ˜‚

although, when the story came on in detail it said they will not be defending their title next season as 777 are pulling their funding.

    No, what I mean is...
The asset makes the debt 'safe'.
Like, I owe X amount on my mortgage. So I'm in debt.
But my house is worth twice as much as my mortgage. So, I'm OK. No panic. Keep making my payments, everyone's happy.
If I need to lend more money, I can. Because I've got this asset that I can still get cash against.
If, for some mad reason my wife went off with my boys, I'd have 2 rooms spare. Now I can rent them out and make money.
So now I have an asset worth more than my debt and it's generating me income.
    Happy Days!

He did indeed do that. But it's the culture he brought with him. The arrogance. Him, Koeman and Benitez of the same ilk in my opinion.
I agree in sorts with what you say there about Dyche. Until the last paragraph. Then I don't agree and feel that sort if criticism is too far for the job he's done so far.
I'm going to see how we fair in the last 6 games before finally deciding where I am with him. I'm a bit 50/50 now as I'm not happy with how long the run lasted and some things said recently, how we've gone about things etc.

I'm sure people have said this/have been feeling this but relegation is the least of our worries. Even if we survive this season, we're a club on life support. The current owner doesn't want to own the club and those that do can't afford it (and if they did have ownership, would probably be busy asset stripping anyway). It's hard to see where any positivity looks realistic with Everton, it's like we're fighting with all our might to take one step forward whilst an almighty wind is pushing us seventeen steps back.

Quite easy to replace Onana, we've got a tremendous track record of signing overhyped lazy fuckers who don't give a shit about the club.ย

Look, we have to face reality that if our financial situation dictates it it won't be Pickford we sell because the fee won't be big enough.
It will be for Onana and/or Branthwaite.
I'd rather it just be Onana we sell because I think he's quite easily replaced for what he currently brings to the team, but we paid quite a big fee for him in the first place and his previous club reportedly have quite a big sell on clause, so that all dilutes how much we will actually benefit from his sale.
On the other hand, it may have to be Branthwaite as well because on the books his sale would be massive for us because he cost very little. Carlisle probably have a sell on clause too but it'll be smaller in his case as well.
It's all shit but we need to be realistic.

They need to concentrate on staying up through merit on the pitch, instead of acting like sad losers before the seasonโ€™s over.ย
I have no sympathy for people who look to prosper on others misery, if you want to succeed go and work for it.ย

Was a hugely embarrassing, verging on shameful, time for the club. I'd honestly have felt prouder to be an Evertonian in the Championship rather than have him at the club; as a Blue you get used to taking a bit of verbal, most of it you roll with because you know you have 150 of history and dignity that few clubs can match to fall back on.
For six months we lost that completely for me. Horrible time and a horrible man.

I think the point is that 'we' say the same thing year after year.
When a manager is disliked, it's one of the repetitive accusations that gets made.
And it's been made year after year for....years!
I think we can all agree that as the last 4-5 years have gone on, our squad is getting smaller and worse in quality.
Whether it's Dyche or somebody else, it's gonna be a tough job for years to come. And I expect the same accusation(s) to be repeated during those years.
