Thing is, all we need is someone to finish our moves...a poacher is ideal. It would also give the creaters confidence to play the ball into the box knowing that it wont be a wasted move.
 
Another thing to consider is Financial Fair Play. The 'you know who' clubs can no longer just stock pile the best senior and young players. They have to sell to balance the books. Initially, there could be some fine players available.

The things I have noticed so far under Martinez is the more positive approach, the 'can do' attitude rather than the 'ooooh, might do, its going to be really difficult, probably cant' attitude. And thats from the players too. The football is a work in progress, and is progressing nicely. The average attendances are as high as they have been for many years.

Darron Gibson last season got 1 league goal and 2 assists. Is that the creative, goal scoring midfielder you want McCarthy to be?
 
McCarthy by the way already has 3 league assists this season. McCarthy had also had 19 shots for us, in around the same amount of games last season Gibson had 14.

As for the chances thing, on average we create 4 or so more chances per game than Hull.

7th is a realistic place for us 'on paper'...those teams currently above us are the correct ones 'on paper'...just in a slightly different order to what I expected.
 
We've done well. Very well. It aint over yet, not by a long way. We have 3 home games against utd, city and arsenal...we have a big say in what goes on above us. Our other games should, 'on paper', see us pick up a load of points.
 
Lukaku will be back soon, hopefully his little break will have reinvigorated him and he'll finish the season how he started. If he does, I wouldnt place too much coin on us finishing 7th!!!
