EFCfanatic
Back to European action. Been a long time. Draw would be sufficient here but I expect us to win in all honestly. Hopefully set up a tasty tie with Rosenborg or Fiorentina, but we are Everton. Pienaar and Yak back should see us get one foot in the last 16 tho. Bill
I agree Pienaar is a must for me, and it would be nice to score an away goal, or 2, so Yakubu to start also.
Romey 1878
1-0 to us but I reckon we'll dominate the game if we have the right players on the field.
FairWooney
I know the Norweigian league is nout special but they are certainly on fine form. last 6 home games for Brann WWWLWW (5-0-1) however that was all last year and they haven't actually started their league season yet for this year and don't until march. their only game this year was a home win against copenhagen. not sure weather that was a friendly or not though. i think them being out of season will be a bit plus for us. a hard fought 1-0 win with Victor getting his customary UEFA goal. jamiemaher85
You have to fancy us for a win to be honest. I can't say I know terribly much about Brann though, they hardly lit the world alight in the group stages though. Qualified with 4 points and only scored 3 goals. I'd like to see Yak back in action and prove a point. 2-0 to us. Yak and Vaughn
Josh Berno
Cant wait for this game been along time scince we've been in UEFA I think 2-1 to us Yak, Anichebe and sum norwegian person for them . I think the pressure might get to vic though because we all expect him to score and if he doesnt he may lose confidence.
jacko 1990
Dont think Vic will get a look in at this game, Yak Starting in a 4-5-1 and Vaughan to come on about 65-70 mins to a 442, should be a easy win with them not playing a competitive game in a while. 2-0 Yak and Vaughan. is it Wednesday or Thursday the game? Adam
Thats alright as long as VDM is there we will be fine Would like to see Yaks and Aj up front and go for the game to try to win it on the night and not have to worry to much when they back at ours the week later. Howard, Neville, Yobo, Jags, Lesscott Osman, Cahill, Carsley,Fernandes AJ, Yaks

Howard, Neville, Yobo, Jags, Lesscott Osman, Cahill, Carsley,Fernandes AJ, Yaks We won't have a left sided midfield player at all there, we'll have three central midfielders and big open space for them to attack us down our left. I know that's pretty much all we can do but Lescott is going to be on his own with that.

jacko 1990
Cheers for that press Kit Louis, good read. Looking at the Fixtures looka a bit odd; League 11/11/07 Chelsea FC (A) 1-1 Cahill 90 League 24/11/07 Sunderland AFC (H) 7-1 Yakubu 12, 73, Cahill 17, 62, Pienaar 43, Johnson 80, Osman 85 League 01/12/07 Portsmouth FC (A) 0-0 a 1-1, then 7-1 then a 0-0. JohnDTraynor
Midfield: Oienarr, Arteta, Gardner injured Carsley, Cahill in dire need of a break Osman still not fully fit Van Der Meyde - unknown quality That leaves Fernandes
MikeO
Whatever you think of him as a player he is a tremendous captain Hmmmm...short memory though... "We also have got to score a goal, as 0-0 is the worst you can get playing away in Europe.” ...he must've blanked out Bucharest....wish I could . FairWooney
eek, that lack of Arteta could really hurt. travelling squad includes VDM, Rodwell and Gosling. I see the side being: Howard Neville Yobo Jagielka Lescott Fernandes Cahill Carsley Osman Johnson Yakubu not a great line up but it's what I expect moyes to put out or something similr. the problem is there are no wingers there. I don't like Osman on the wing but the other thing is an even bigger problem as carsley and cahill would never play out there so Fernandes would have to go out. Baines could give some wing support but I think Moyes is relecutant to play Baines with his current recurring injury still awaiting surgery. I see Anichebe coming on over Vaughan if fit given his excellent record as a sub in the tournament so far. I think Moyes will take a conservative approach given that it's the away leg. I think we might knick a 1-0 win with Anichebe scoring.
Bill
Of course he may go 4-5-1 Hibbo at fullback and Neville into midfield, Yak up on his own, theres numerous possibilities but whatever they are Pienaar and Arteta are possibly the biggest influence on the team and neither of them are playing. Calico
It is surely time for Manny and Ossie to show that they have quality, even when not fully fit. A few moments of magic from both of them and we should be okay.
Randomness
our four most experienced players in europe Neville 74 Pienaar 35 VDM 34 Valente 28 come on yak (27) add to your 9 goals in europe.

aaron
3-1 to us i reckon yak, cahill and AJ
GMorrison183
If all of team hoof it is out on the field (Hibbert, Jags, Neville, Carsley) and Arteta and Pienaar aren't playing, then I will say it will either be a 0-0 draw or 1-0 victory in their favor. The service will never be there for AJ and the Yak in that system. Maybe we can pull out a goal on a set piece, but I am not as confident as many of you are. Romey 1878
Maybe no Manny either. If we fuck up our season because we didn't bring in more reinforcements then either the board is to blame for providing no money or Moyes for not spending what was there.
