Jonny Z Cars
I heard Moyes was looking at players from the dutch squad. I hope this one caught his eye. Current captain of FC Twente.
rubecula
I could tell you something about him. And that is, I have never heard of the guy.
gwladys
He was that man mountain that controlled the midfiled in the dutch victory the other night. Looked pretty good but this doesn't seem like a rumour!!!
Romey 1878
How many times have you seen him play Jonny? I've only seen him in that one game.
Jonny Z Cars
How many times have you seen him play Jonny? I've only seen him in that one game. iv seen him play a couple of dutch friendlies, and Moyes was at the dutch/italy game to look at defensive midfielders. so unless it was gattuso then i dont know. my source is bbc radio 5 live. on the commentary the commentator said that cappelo was in the stands along with a host of premiership managers, one of which was moyes and that he was 'scouting' out a midfielder. as he has said on the tv that he wasnt after a creative midfielder it makes sense that he was after a defensive one. engelaar isnt rumoured to come but cos FC Twente are without a manager I know a couple of players are unsure of their future. adamsmith69
I hope we are not interested in this lad. Isnt he quite old? I doubt we are to be honest. The names we have been linked with we where probably looking at van der vaart or sneijder.

Many of Europe's UEFA Cup teams were interested in him. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11881_3644473,00.html
Blue4Ever
id love this lad here, exactly what we need an he's a giant.
Romey 1878
He's 28 so I would prefer someone younger as it wouldn't be long til we were in the same position as we were with Carsley - a tired, ageing player who will struggle to keep up with the game. andyhouse
hes 28, nearly 29. I have seen him play a couple of games and he seems quite impressive. Although he reminds me of Carlton Palmer! He's the type of player everyone cheers when on the ball cos he looks so clumsy. But he distributes really well.

gwladys
This ones not going away, a dutch paper has said that we've been in touch with Twente and hope to secure his services by the end of the euros 2008 even though he prefers a move to Germany. Jonny Z Cars
we're getting closer to getting him. looked good again tonight versus romania. my main problem is that the player doesnt actually want to come here. he is still pining over a move to the german league to be with his former coach. not sure id want a player that doesn want to play here. scouse
If the player doesnt want to join us lets move on, i am sure Andy VDM would give us a glowing review
Blue4Ever
This player fits exactly what we need in a midfielder, he's tall, strong, good on the ball i just dont no what he would be like in the premiership, i could see this coming off
adamsmith69
From what i have seen he can tackle, but he certainly isnt good on the ball
Romey 1878
From what i have seen he can tackle, but he certainly isnt good on the ball Neither was Carsley though to be fair. His job would be simply to win the ball and give it to the likes of Arteta and Pienaar.
carlmc25
From what i have seen he can tackle, but he certainly isnt good on the ball According to all the reports I've read he's been excellent on the ball, the Daily Mail picked him out as one of the stars of the tournament earlier in the week. Johnny Bryant
hmmm he looks a good player but getting on abit.. i would rather see someone like cana here because he can gives that option of passing out of the takle if players like cahill and pienarr arent there
gwladys
His distribution has looked alright to me, i'd say a step up from that of Carsleys. i think the main thing with this fella is that he looks like he could eat people which makes him a good sigining in my opinion. It was on City Talk earlier today confirming our interest but also his preference of Shalke.
adamsmith69
I may be wrong, maybe he can pass. He did impress me in the first game but the second against france he was none existent and if i am correct was hauled off at half time
Josh Berno
I would have this fella at the club. He's very big isn't he I think he would fit the bill while we search for a younger player to take Carsleys place.
c1982
I like the look of this chap but prefer de jong to be honest - think he looks a more accomplished player in def mid.
Adams
Y not get the young belgium lad we were linked with back in january hes a giant and hes only 20 but lacks experience playing in big games(something that Engelaar has, playing at the euros for Holland).I think his name is Maroune Fellani and when we were linked with him apparently Bayern Munich wanted him aswell! Jay Bernard
Sky Sports say us and the magpies fancy a bit of Engelaar. Bit too tall for me but for Moyes and Everton, Perfect http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_3718491,00.html Edited June 22, 2008 by Jay Bernard

Romey 1878
Engelaar has agreed terms with Schalke
c1982
He has agreed terms coz his old manager is there - schalke and his current club haven't agreed a fee though, so the plug could be fesibly pulled if he decided a move to the prem would be a better opportunity - with mclaren in charge now he may encourage a move to the prem for the lad...
