Mikels Left Tezzer
yeh fuck off id rather have marcus bent as lone striker rather than him A bit harsh, I wouldn't worry I'm sure West Ham, Wigan, or Sunderland will pop in with the goods. If not, nothing lost he is still a handy player to have around.
JohnDTraynor
Fulham? Who do they think they are? Chelsea? Rubbish.

Bill
Just seen on teletext that Everton will push through a compromise deal. But in the same section we have gone from being mentioned with Moutinho down to a cut price injury prone over the hill Alan Smith from the Newcs. JEEZ, PLEASE NO. phelpsy
Alan Smith was a good player a couple of years back and i'd have been glad of him when we first attempted to buy him. He's gone way off the boil since united and has been played in every position going but for the £1.5m they're talking about i'd be happy with that. Replacement for AJ and can play in midfield if needed. Makes sense.
gwladys
I wouldn't want that horrible bastard at our club for any price, he's shit!
Vintage
I wouldn't want that horrible bastard at our club for any price, he's shit! My sentiments exactly. I don't often post but if this gets even the slightest bit of credible evidence we must start a petition against this proposal. Only thing in our favour is that this rumour emanates from the Daily Star so probably has no truth behind it.
troy8
i dunno about alan smith as a replacement for AJ.. he gets fouled so very often, but still he has shown some good skill and ability over the years. either way i think he could contribute, a tough decision though whether to sign him or not, but if its gonna be for 1.5 mil i rekon we should definately consider it
Bill
He's another VDM, might look ok in half paced friendlies and in training but he has a body that cant perform in the top class game, too many career theatening injuries, not half the player he was since his leg was badly smashed. chris1eng
Waste of time and wages buying smith, he'll be out injured for most of the season. forget him and get Moutinho along with manny on a full time deal
Bill
^^^ Yeah deffo need those two Chris ^^^ with a defensive mid to replace Carsley, M'bia perhaps.

jamiemaher85
This worried me:- "It is believed, though, that the up-front payment was initially still less than half of a fee which could rise to around £13million" So we could only get 6m upfront? Fuck that
Josh Berno
---- Arteta-----Moutinho-----Fernandes--------------------------M'bia--------------------- haha yes we could all dream guys! that would be grand No Pienaar in that midfield I see . Raccyboy
not a fan, never have been. BUT, if west ham are putting a price of 18 mil on dean ashton and prices are that crazy, then we should keep johnson and tell fulham to f*ck off. he's hardly the most injury prone player, so don't see why we should let fulham call the tune, even if the medical was iffy. a couple months ago would have taken 8 mil, but not with the silly prices we're seeing now. Blue4Ever
if we were in a position to say stop the deal I would if I was moyes, but the thing is we need money and as soon as so we need to just get the deal through with.

fussybear
things to remeber, aj may have had his best years, he isnt getting any younger, and he enjured a pretty injury prone season last year. in addtion moyes has made a profit and aj didnt want to stay. deal as opposed no deal. Mogsy
i think AJ is a cracking Mid table striker, but not off the class of a top 4 team, he was better than crystal palace, but not good enough compaired to the Yaks first season! i'm not sad to see him go!
