Once you've dug yourself in a hole don't make it any deeper

On behalf of the Welsh contingent they speak better English than half of Merseyside Licker and there are more blues in the valleys than red on top of which most are bilingual unlike some :lol::lol:

well, i've heard it somewhere that welsh language is mostly based on phlegm ;)

YES, I said last night when all the links to the belgium press was giving the 16 million euros fee, and 90.000 thousand euros salary £70 thousand pounds is a lot of money for us to pay.

Most of the other players are only on half of that, so i can see this causing a bit of discontent. (jealosy) i fear there may be a few players knocking on the managers door. <_<

PS .. ARE YOU SURE THATS PER MONTH, COS IF IT IS THATS VERY CHEAP. ITS ONLY HALF OF WHAT THE OTHER PLAYERS GET.

How much does the highest payed player get in EFC?

ok, acording to today's exchange values:

1 EUR = 0.813126 GBP

1 GBP = 1.22982 EUR

50000 British Pound(s) = 61491.1 Euro(s)

so roughly 61,5K per week, meaning 246000€ per month

If i remember correctly, our (meaning SCP) highest payed is at about half that, moutinho and liedson on about 120K...

and we're a CL team, playing for championships and cups, and the like...

i hate this freaking country.... ;)

nah, Ronaldo was like 18 at that time, I think it he had renewed the previous season, but mainly to get his release clause up. People were looking at him, but actually no one expected him to leave at that time. next january, or the next off season, totally, but not then. But fergie was totally blown away by him on the inaugural game at our new stadium and decided MU had to buy him before anyone else came and took him. in fact, there was the possibility of buying him and letting him stay here for an extra year, kind of on loan, but since becham had left, and after seeing play, he said:

"bolocks to that, i'll take him now! check, pls." ;)

and come on down! and when u do, pass over at the sporting stadium, in lisbon, and buy urself a nice jersey ;)

i'll buy 1 when i'm in liverpool too

football365 has described the transfer as the most desperate of the summer in their summer transfers awards

http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8...4085375,00.html

I'll tell you this. I've been watching him since he was 14 as my nephew was playing alongside him and I can tell you that his work ethic and sheer will to prove himself will do Everton proud. I am not saying he will succeed because no-one can predict that, but you have signed one success-greedy of a lad. Believe me.

Done my homework reading the Belgian press this morning.

Fellaini confirms he would indeed have put club before money for this season if Liège had qualified for the CL but he got fed up with playing in Belgium, mainly because of referees (ED you'd never complain about yours if you saw ours).

He thought he'd be elected footballer of the year last season and was bitterly disappointed. He decided he'd leave Belgium on that occasion.

He firmly believes he can cut it in the Prem.

€ 90,000/month means he will earn 3.6 times as much.

The initial transfer fee is € 20 m according to Standard's secretary general, with a sell on fee rising to € 5 m + bonuses (eg Standard will get extra money to make up for being eliminated by Everton in the waffa cup should that happen, appearances etc.).

Everton had several bids to the tune of € 14-16 m rejected, but Moyes was really adamant and got his man in the end with an offer the club simply couldn't turn down.

His English is piss poor but he will learn quickly.

He doubts he'll ever see better fans than Liège's.

Here are a few links if you can read French and Dutch, I don't really have the time to translate all these articles for you.

Worryingly.. he only has a potential of 150 on Football Manager ;)

I'd never heard of him until the Liverpool games.

his points will increase very fast believe me.

In europe there are no 5 players on that position with the same qualities.

He is very strong with the head, keeps running, can score, can give a good pass.

And most of all he can' t Lose

btw

His second match against Liverpool was not even that good.
