EFC247
Howard makes some amazing saves in this game! Most of the highlights show the All Stars chances, but that's because it's on the MLS site. But we did have some good chances! http://web.mlsnet.com/media/video.jsp?content_id=5818417 Everton Starting XI --------------------------- Howard Hibbert Lescott Yobo Baines Rodwell Neville Fellaini Cahill Osman Saha Edited July 30, 2009 by EFC247
MikeO
Three notables in that shoot-out. Lescott's penalty....perfection. Easily the best pen. Howard's save from Arnoud. Impressive, really strong arm! ....and the cameraman standing behind the taker . That could never happen here....could it ?

Ian C
theres a player missing? unless we went for the 441 formation lol Fellaini Cahill was RW, Osman was LW, Fellaini off Saha and Neville/Rodwell holding.

holystove
Looks like Rodwell really captured the spirit of an friendly exhibition game with that foul on Ljundberg there .
GMorrison183
Looks like Rodwell really captured the spirit of an friendly exhibition game with that foul on Ljundberg there . Landon Donovan for the MLS Allstars even said that we were treating this as a regular game (tackling wise).
thebluenose
looks like Howard is ready for the new season. he was immense in that game, and could we actually be getting better with pens. that penalty cam was interesting. cant imagine itl happen here
Blue4Ever
Is it just me or has yobo put a bit of weight on? going by them highlights he looked lost, second to everything.

sing_blue
I saw the game on Espn and i must say, hibbert was no where near picking up the man when MLS scored! Yobo did look abit off but i am sure it was just one of those games for him. Saha did look really sharp and took his goal well. But Howard was in sensational form with the saves he made. Even when Donovan struck the post in the six yard box, Howard made himself look big and it might have put donovan off. And the strong hand he had for the penalty save was class. I liked phil's little penalty celebration. Apparently according to the commentator, it was his first ever competitive penalty.
chongli
Did anyone else notice that John Harkes said he talked to Moyes and "he wants to buy some players when he gets back to England." Let's hope that's the case.

Moe Joe
Didn't Pip take a penalty in the FA Cup Semi-Final? Yep and it was exactly the same lol. Left side, floated.
MikeO
Didn't Pip take a penalty in the FA Cup Semi-Final? Probably not a competitive enough match as far as the American audience is concerned because (unlike the massively important all star game) there was no trophy at the end of it . sing_blue
I knew it couldn't be true. Anyway, the commentary was the most biased commentary i ever heard.
