GMONEYone
I am a big fan of saha and "when" fit he is a 15-20 goal a season striker!!! But at his age, injury record, and only 1 season left on contract I would snap the hands off an £8mill bid to be honest!
EFC247
8 mill not bad, but I would rather keep him for next season.
jamiemaher85
I like Saha but that is a good price for him. If Yak was fit then I would have bitten there hands off for that figure.
exiled-in-kent
Wouldn't want Saha to leave, especially with the Yak out at the moment, and even with the Yak I wouldn't want him to go, but £8m would tempt me...
Finn balor
Very good price but if he doesnt want to go you can't force him.

Everton_Worshiper
Good. Saha needs to stay, has shown in preseason he can be a dangerous striker who gets goals.
Lowensda
Good. Saha needs to stay, has shown in preseason he can be a dangerous striker who gets goals. 2nd that. his experience is vital to the younger boys and even though the price is good, who would we get to replace him? The boys look up to him, 'king louis' says it all.
CraccerC
for 8 mil i'd have sold him without a second thought
FairWooney
what??? I can't believe everyones glad that we've turned down an apparent 8 million pound bid!!! yes he's a decent player when he's fit but he's not fit all that often and is getting on a bit now and definately 8 million is a big offer for him! I'm sure Man Utd are probably taking a chunk of anything we sell him for but if it was 8 million I'd be biting their hand off, with that money you can buy a decent, younger, fitter player. CaptainFerguson10
Sorry but who would we realistically get for 8 million who is on Saha level? Firstly Moyes wouldn't get all of the money to invest into a player, and selling him would send all the wrong signals especially to Lescott. Saha is quality, and should get a new deal. We need the better players to remain at the club, no point selling just for the sake of it when numbers are very low squad wise anyhow.
marcopaulo
crouch went for 9! saha is a better player but can you really guarantee 30 games a year from him? no you cant. hes a 20 goal a season striker if he played every week but if he played every week utd wouldnt have got rid

Finn balor
If you could be assured he was fit for a season there is an arguement to keep him but i would rather have Tuncay or the icelandic kid at barca who i cant spell who im pretty sure you could get for the same money
Ian C
We could definitely get Tuncay for less than 8 million which would be a great bit of business.

I agree, in fact I'd let Saha go for £4m never mind £8m, £8m would be an absolutely insane price for an ageing injury prone striker.
Anto-EFC
I would have took 8 mil and bought Tuncay and/or Martins, Im not sure how much Martins actually went for but he is a quality goal scorer with a huge shot on him at times, or i'd have even give the extra 2mil and got Darren Bent!Younger, Fitter, Faster. RuffRob
I don't think the bid we had for him was for £8M to be honest. Little unreal for a 31 year old with 12 months on a contract. You could try and buy Van Nistelrooy for less than that. I would guess the £8M is mis quoted
aaron
it was prob a £2m up front the rest on goals etc. But still £8m for a 31 year old would be brilliant bit of business but at the same time im glad he is staying, I like saha.
DonKey
I like Saha and think he adds a lot fir us when he's fit, but I agree that 8m for a 31yr old in the last year of his contract is a hell of an offer. I don't think Martins went for much more Tuncay from Boro would be a good shout and Bent would've been another one, but can't really think of too much outside that. ustoffee22
i agree 8 mil is alot for Saha but selling him would send the wrong signals to players on the team such as lescot which was mentionbed above and that would cause a firestorm of departures
chicagoblue
I think Tuncay is probably only 6M or so and would be a great move if Saha were gone. Tuncay can play all over the field and I don't remember him missing more than 2 or 3 games for Boro.
foobiezw
Not too sure about selling Saha. 8 mil for a player his age... but I still rmmbr Saha's goal in the FA cup. Chances are half that would go back to Man U anyway.
