Sven should know by now playing one upfront doesnt work, he needs to take Carrick or Lampard off and bring ( i cant believe im saying this) Crouch on. Rooney's too isolated on his own. Unless we suddenly start playing as a unit (i'm not holding my breath), its gona be Euro 2004 again, Portugal or Netherlands will run rings around us. It took a wonder goal to save us again. The problem is that goal papers over the crap performance golden bollox has been putting in for a long time. We looked far more threatening when Lennon came on. Robinson looked indecisive to say the least, a couple of his attempted clearences were very David Jamesesque. Lampard had another poor game and should have scored at least one. I'm in the "were in the 1/4's" gang but in all reality if we met real opposition we would need to take it up a couple of levels. At the mo we are playing like the underdogs in the FA cup final every game! I think the Portugal card situation has bought us the upperhand in the next game! This is the worst we've played in the finals of a tournament for a long, long time and its not a one off, its four games in a row. We were in the weakest group of the tournament and we scraped a win against the weakest team in the last 16. If we put in the same level of performance we did against Ecuador we will get taken apart by Portugal like Euro 2004 and we were playing better then.
