I've had 2 no's and no reply from about 15-20 last week. Only replies are from recruitment agencies who suck ass, just trying grab a referral fee. It probably is bullshit, but it shows the employer you've made an effort with your application rather than just attaching the same CV for 20 jobs. At the end of the day, they have 30 applicants, 15 of which have suitable work experience for the role. They have to have something to differentiate between those 15, and that's probably going to be the paragraph about why they want the job and the paragraph about themselves. Dalziel Kane Posted June 13, 2012 Report Share Posted June 13, 2012 What is with the goddamn weather here, one day it's raining, overcast, cloudy, cold etc and feeling like February, lo and behold the very next day it's like 15 degrees warmer, sun's shining, even some lazy asses doing some sunbathing just for good measure of all things, and all summery again, gets on my damn nerves it really does, I hate weather forecasters with a passion and just rely on other means to get a report if planning ahead etc. I feel I should just divorce myself from this issue, but hard as I tried I couldn't quite get away from the usual media frenzy on Tuesday after the English had got a draw with France in the opening game, fuck me, some of the pricks of various tabloid rags actually were under the impression they had won the goddamn thing, on the basis of holding one of the favorites to a draw, despite being on the defensive most of the game and rarely creating anything, it's one thing that really genuinely gets on my damn nerves, all the media crap and delusions of grandeur, I'll be real glad when it's all fucking over with. Edmonds reminds me of a belligerent little gnome, this is the same one who gave us 'Noels House Party' years back, so you do the math From what I've seen of this show, 90 per cent of the contenstants always seem to be leather faced 20 something women who are probably undertaking beauty courses at college or hairdressing qualifications etc, it's always the same, and the audience always got on my damn nerves, it's a rather annoying, if not damn boring, insignificant little program, and lo and behold, what's on before that, Countdown... Channel Four do themselves no favors sometimes, I think I would go into cardiac arrest if I was to watch an afternoon of their horrible shows. It was rather funny IMO though because the referee didn't even take the crowd on, the crowd went '3...2...1...wooo!' and then about 3 seconds later the referee decided that he would blow the whistle and get the game underway. It's impossible to watch anything these days as there are so many damn interruptions, it never used to be like this too Usual weather nonsense too, one day rain, wind, overcast, lo and behold a few hours later get out the fucking deckchairs, I really could do some damage sometimes. And why does it even get dark at night, what's the use of that, it's like dark at 11pm now and gets light at 2-30am, just have it light all night and just be done with it damn it. More often than not, it's the foreign owners or shopkeepers, it's just plain and simple bad manners and discourtesy. I see people about walking the streets looking like an unmade bed, but I don't usually have such a problem. I have more choice of attire than most and I have trouble making decisions sometimes, so if in a rush, I sometimes just grab what I deem acceptable and go out and about etc or feel comfortable in. Don't mean going about their business in Saville Row suits but maintaining a professional and smart image etc. You do see some quite awful degenerate types out and about with questionable attire, but what they do is their business, but casual wear is best when the time or situation allows it. At Saga Insurance facilities they wear their own clothes, so long as it's nothing too extreme, but I was told - no soccer shirts allowed, it's bad for the work environment, they don't want rivalries getting in the way of work..., even if some do sit around all day doing practically fucking not much at all.
