Wall Writer
A bit of topic, and probably not of much interest to most, but I found this on the Beeb and had a small chuckle at the quote he made on his retirement "I quit," said the Ajax graduate when announcing the end of his career. "I do not need to give an interview." Link
Bill
And there was me hoping they would bring him back, we need a winger.
rubecula
He doesn't need to give an interview? Oh well we don't need to make any comments then. Subject closed.
Romey 1878
What a waste of talent.

marcopaulo
i'm not sure moyes could've predicted the break ins and the fact he would be such a tool and have a drink problem..unless that was common knowledge before i'm not sure.. MikeO
Also think DM dug his heels in a bit. VDM had a couple of decent pre-seasons when he played a lot but was then ignored for the real stuff.
Adam Partington
Also think DM dug his heels in a bit. VDM had a couple of decent pre-seasons when he played a lot but was then ignored for the real stuff. I remember going up the road from me and watching him against 'The Vale' & he was fucking un-real! Granted against a pretty poor side but he just sprayed the ball across the park and made it look easy. I remember saying to my old man that we could maybe see him at his best 'this season' (think it might have been 2006/07). How wrong I was. Whilst reading that article it made me think what a devastating waste of talent he is, I'd have chopped my nob-ead off to have an ounce of what he had on the ball. Just a shame he had the IQ of a door.
Hari
He could have been playing still in any other league if he did ask for a transfer request much before...may be before 2008-2009 season
smeghead1
He didnt have time to give an interview due to him not wanting to miss happy hour in his local.
FellainisHair
Could have been a great player. Thanks for the cross though Andy.
Hafnia
Don't want to be critical of him, has had to deal with issues none of us would want. I'm sure any of us would love the opportunity to be a top flight footballer and it is confusing to see someone "throw it away" - but to understand him you need to walk in his shoes. Hopefully he finds the piece of mind and opportunity to allow him to give something back to the game which has no doubt set him up financially. Guest blueboy122
Unbelivable article I am astonished. He sounds very bitter about his time here.
