From what's available he's the best option really and he's not going to be on huge wages. I'd take him just to play a few games alongside gibbo - we'd be lethal from anywhere within 30yards!!! If He can stay fit He'd do a job and as said He's the best available on a free for what We need at the moment. Also has a great left peg like C says Him and Gibson wouldn't be two bad players to have on the edge of the box with the ball............
