He was played left back at Newcastle to be fair and they were happy enough to pay £4m for him after his loan fee - he chose city. My mate rated him at Newcastle, Man city fans loved him. He decided not to play because he wanted the summer break and felt that the Gold Cup would harm his pre-season preparations with Everton. The minute you hear that a players drives himself to a club, from Portsmouth to L4, with a 50/50 chance of a deal actually going through...awesome.
