Peter H Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/12/football-transfer-rumours-delph-weimann-newcastle "In other deckchair rearrangement news Newcastle are lining up a £15m double swoop – and who doesn't love a double swoop? – for Aston Villa's Fabian Delph and Andreas Weimann. Weimann is also arousing the interest of Liverpool, Tottenham and Everton." Quote
Matt Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Not seen much of Weimann but whenever I have Ive been impressed. 5-7m, max though. Quote
Romey 1878 Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 I'd like him here. Didn't he only sign a new contract a few months ago? Quote
Peter H Posted May 12, 2014 Author Report Posted May 12, 2014 I'd like him here. Didn't he only sign a new contract a few months ago? A 3 year deal 1 year ago. So 2 years left on the contract http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/weimann-pens-new-villa-deal/news/anzeigen_125341.html Quote

Guest blueboy122 Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Yes would love him here. Be a better option I think upfront than Lukaku. A very dynamic, creative, speedy type striker which I feel is the more of the striker we need than Lukaku, Slightly off topic would anyone think it would be a good idea to play Mirralas as a striker rather than a winger? I would be intrigued to see how many goals he would get over the course of the season in a central forward position type role. To me Mirralas just isn't a winger. Quote
Brett Angel Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 delph, please not weimann. he will end up a fringe player and then to be sold withouth anyone noticing. Quote
bluenosetoffee Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 I can only say what I know about him from watching MOTD but he looks a okay player and if we could get him for 4-8mil I would take it. I doubt Villa would take that anyway! Will probably be in 8.5 - 13.5 mil. If N'Zogbia is worth 9.5mil then Weimann has to be worth in that region too. Quote
markjazzbassist Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Delph yeah Weimann meh yep i agree. if we could do a double swoop for 10m i'd be okay with it, but not worth 15m for the both of them. Quote
Steve_E Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 I think we're going a bit overboard with the "for x million I'd be okay with it, but not for y million" on this board lately. Are the people in charge at Villa retarded? Why else would they sell two of their best players for 10 million combined? Do you think they're purposely trying to suck? Quote
c1982 Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 Westwood's the one for me at Villa, I'd have him over Delph. Not a fan of Weimann at all. Quote

Exactly we should base our opinions on more realistic transfer fee's. Quote

Guest Nikica Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 I actually like Weimann a lot. He looks like a talented guy. Quote
Memmaclub Posted May 16, 2014 Report Posted May 16, 2014 as a replacement for peanuts he is not a prolific goal scorer Quote
