MikeO
Not going well - 2-0 Italy. I blame Ings for missing a clear chance at 0-0 - bloody kopites! Dreadful defending.
MikeO
Just like watching Everton last season this, too many passes and no threat plus concede stupid goals.
Lowensda
Just like watching Everton last season this, too many passes and no threat plus concede stupid goals. Yep. Possession for possessions sake in most cases. You're better having very little but doing something with it.

MikeO
And what coaching manual says if you play crap in the first half you wait until fifteen minutes into the second before you make a change? Hour mark seems to have some mythical power for "by the book" coaches (and Southgate is the epitome of those).
MikeO
Are we out if we lose? Yes. Bottom of the group but a draw might put us through.
Lowensda
nathaniel chalobah has been woeful. He gives away possession sooo much, its embarrassing.

Lowensda
The midfield is one of the worst I've seen in years.
johnh
England had 60% possession but didn't appear to do anything with it. 18 goal attempts against Italy 11 but they scored 3 of their's
Cornish Steve
Dreadful defending. By which defenders? Two of them are Everton's, right?

Clueless, always has been.

MikeO
By which defenders? Two of them are Everton's, right? Not so much individual errors, Garbutt certainly not responsible I don't think, just poor team defending from the midfield back. Stones gave it away a few times but also made some good runs. David Black
I can never get excited about the under 21's it reminds me of b team football from the 80's 90's. Controversial maybe but I don't find it interesting one bit. If a youngster is good enough he will be too good for under 21's imo!
EFC-Paul
No different then the senior squad a handful of good talent mixed with mediocrity then poorly managed and played like a typical British Sunday league side tactically We'll never improve unless most of these lads brake through at club level which is very unlikely in todays game and we get managers and coaches in place who will teach them to play more effective systems
