Cornish Steve
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/everton-sunderland-west-ham-transfer-9210827 Very sad to see us grouped only with Stoke, Sunderland, West Brom, West Ham, and Villa. Shukes
It's reality I'm afraid. I joked we were the new West brom... Then they played and we're much more exciting.
StevO
Yeah I know, still gutted we bought that lad from Villa in the summer.
Cornish Steve
Yeah I know, still gutted we bought that lad from Villa in the summer. Even though there's a difference between buying and selling a player, I take your point. Maybe this lad is a star player. Nonetheless, it's just depressing to see "the company we keep." StevO
I don't see the issue. We aren't going to be poaching players from Chelsea or City. When City got the money they bought players like Barry for Villa, Santa Cruz from Blackburn, Lescott from Everton. They bid £108m up front (£243m in total potential) for Kaka and still got turned down. If we want to be buying players from the top shelf we need to get off the bottom shelf first. If we bought Mahrez from FC Nobody for £500k how long would we have been upset for? Edited November 8, 2016 by StevO

c1982
Very sad to see us grouped only with Stoke, Sunderland, West Brom, West Ham, and Villa. Are you happier that Liverpool are linked with him too this time?
DownUnderToff
Would prefer Nicolai Jorgensen, but both could be decent as a 2nd striker who could step up as required.
