Shy_Talk
Was injured today playing for Hull against Chelsea, I hope the reports suggesting a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain are a massive exaggeration. If not (and his condition is serious), thoughts and prayers out to him and his family.

aaron
They reckon he'll be out of hospital in a couple of days which is great news, long way back now though, will probs have to play with the head protection that Cech and Chivu wear/wore if he comes back, which I hope he does. Cech actually doesn't need to wear it for his own protection, it's for insurance purposes according to him.
johnh
Mason's problem is going to be psychological when/if he returns to playing. Is he going to be able to head the ball, let alone challenging for a header? I hope he makes a full recovery. In my penultimate game of football (aged 40) I had a clash of heads and was knocked unconscious, the only time I was ever KO'd in my football career. I had gone to the game in my car and had to get someone to drive me home, not because I couldn't drive but I didn't recognise anywhere and couldn't have found my way home. I was 'out of it' for about a week (my work colleagues claimed they didn't notice anything different). In my final game a few weeks later, I didn't win many heading duels.
