jamiemaher85
Think Ledley would be a really good purchase, continue down a line of good lower league purchases, Cahill, Lescott, Jags... pick these up on the relative cheap and then bring in a expensive foreign player to bolster the centre mid. aaron
i havent been on football-rumours for a while now, but here is some more from the best bullshit site around Everton– Asatiani, Fernandez Everton are going to be given around £50 million to spend as part of Moyes new contract. players In: arshavan £8 million Sidwell £4 million nolan £5 million Barnes £5.5 million glen Johnson £7 million farfan £7 million pienaar £3.5 million frey (Fiorentina) £8 Everton– Craig Beattie
Bill
Deffo sign Pienaar then I would take Arshavin and Nolan at a combined fee of 13 million, get rid of VD Meyde and Graveson, thats the midfield sorted. Dont need any forwards cos Vaughan should be back for the seasons start, so its just a fullback. Who can you get for reasonable money thats any better than Hibbert or Neville 3 Midfielders and a decent Fullback, We only need to spend about 25 mill to improve another level. Go to it Moyesy. £3m......Pienaar £8m......Arshavin £5m......Nolan or Joe Ledley Leaves about £9m for a decent fullback......Offload Valente and any others who are not regulars to make the bench a lot stronger. bennycake
Moyes wants 3 c/mids to replace gravesen, fernandes & vidarsson. 2 wide players/forwards to replace van der meyde & mcfadden. if kenwright sanctions his list A he will try to bring in these players: Lucho gonzalez kim kallstrom michael bradley arshavin downing/ vagner love Moyes believes the difference between us & chelsea in the semi was there pace & strength in midfield. All c/mids on list are 6ft & quality. wingers/forwards are pacy & direct. if kenwright sanctions list B: Nolan sidwell hunt kewell & pienaar. bennycake
Moyes is playing a game with kenwright re list A, list B, new contract. He's testing the boards ambition. He knows list B is not good enough & if the board sanctions it he will walk. List A will cost £40-£50 mil its up to the board to find that money. Bill
Maybe meet halfway and take Arshavin and Kallstrom from the A list. And Pienaar and Hunt from the B list. Would only need about 25 million to improve us a bit.

aaron
Michael Owen to sign for Everton from Newcastle. The in–form Owen is keen to move on from the Magpies now that Kevin Keegan is in charge. David Moyes is desperate to add quality to his striking options. Owen is all the more keen about the move since it transpires that Everton have a transfer kitty amounting to £30 million, which will attract further quality to the blue half of Merseyside. I'd like Mikey Owen here but I dont think he is the answer. We need a creative forward that can create something on their own. i.e. a Berghamp type player. Actualy a forward with a first touch wouldn't go a miss because we don't have one!
aaron
crouch has a brilliant first touch imo. Seems he is out of favour. I'd sure as hell take him for the right price. But i dont think he is the type of striker we need.

But i dont think he is the type of striker we need. You're very right. Lovely first touch and is a good person to bring other players in the game as the ball can stick with him when we punt it up field (hibbo, neville etc!). As I say though he is not really that creative. We need some flair, pace and trickery!
jamiemaher85
The only good thing about us signing Crouch would be that we could all say that we are playing Yak and Beanstalk up front
aaron
Everton are a team on the up with David Moyes at the helm I would expect to see a number of changes to get to the next level E. g. Champions League football even if that means getting rid of some players not up to scratch. expect to see arriving: Arshavin–8 million (zenit) pienaar permanent and fernades if he plays like he has done m. bradley–4 million (Herenveen) Sulejmani–6 million rising star (Herenveen) kallstrom–7–mil (lyon) ramsey–4 million (Cardiff) ebbanks–blake–2 million (Wolves) any young RB (2–6 mil) to sell Hibbert Carsley Everton– Steven Pienaar
aaron
EFC Rumours David Moyes has not put pen to paper on a new contract, as he's holding out for a bulky transfer fund. Players he's looking at include: –Steven Pienaar (Permanent signing) (£2.2 mill) –Michael Bradley (Heerenveen) (£5 – 6 mill) –Joe Ledley (Cardiff) (£5 mill) –Aaron Ramsey (Cardiff) THOUGH FACES A BIT OF COMPETITION (£? ) –Kim Kallstrom (Lyon) (£5 – 8 mill) –Brian Howard (Barnsley) (£3 – 5 mill) –Steve Sidwell (Chelsea) (£5– 7 mill) –Andrei Arshavin (Zenit St. Petersburg) (£7 – 8 mill) –Manuel Fernandes (Valencia) (Anywhere from £6 million – £10 mill) These are all midfielders, so obviously only about 3 will be bought, except in the case of Ramsey who is 'one for the future'. Some defenders Moyes is interested in are:–Stefano Guberti (Ascoli) (Anywhere from £3 – 6 mill) –Anthony Gardner (Tottenham) (Only for FREE though) –Christophe Berra (Hearts) (£3.5 mill) Also, next season, Moyes will give chances to Rodwell, Gosling and Kissock. Also worth mentioning a goalkeeper: –Wayne Hennessey (Wolves) (£? ) Everton Fc boss has a list of players for next season: Michael Bradley sc Heerenveen Miralem Sulejmani sc Heerenveen Stephen Pienarr Borussia Dortmund Manuel Fernandes Valencia Aaron Ramsey Cardiff Everton–Downing, Carr
aaron
Everton FC IN'S STEPHEN CARR (Newcastle) MICHAEL CARRICK (Man United) STEVEN PIENAR (Permanent signing) MICHAEL BRADLEY (Heerenveen) JOE LEDLEY (Cardiff) AARON RAMSEY (Cardiff) KIM KALLSTROM (Lyon) STEVE SIDWELL (Chelsea) ANDREI ARSHAVIN (Zenit St. Petersburg) These are all midfielders except Carr, so obviously only about 3 or 4 will be bought in. Some other players Moyes is interested in, are: ANTHONY GARDNER (Tottenham) (Only for FREE though) WAYNE HENNESSEY (Wolves) JUSTIN HOYTE (Arsenal) MIRALEM SULEJMANI (sc Heerenveen) Also, next season, Moyes will give chances to Rodwell, Gosling, boyle, irving and Kissock. Knowing our business sense they'll also be a clause in place that if he plays 10 games or wins a throw in we'll pay you £100,000.
