MikeO
Need to stop the rot but Bolton's probably the last team you want to face under the circumstances. Gotta fight for this one though. 1-0 Lescott. We have to score from a corner eventually so maybe tomorrow.

Bill
VDM... Yeah right, i'll believe he's in with a chance of playing, if the whole midfield 4/5 go down with a mystery lergy. Other than that he might come on for the last five minutes, cant expect him to play any more than that, cos he'll be too worn out with all the extra training he's putting in. Mac
I am going to go against general opinion here and say in public - VDM owes us big time and the situation has gotten to the stage of "shit or get off the pot". We know he has underachieved, so does DM, so do the fans and more importantly so does VDM himself. I am going for a 3-0 to us. Time to plug the sinking ship and start playing like we f*cking mean business. ATB Mac
Ian
It would be great for every blue to get behind us for this one, confidence may be low after a bad run so every fan needs to stand up and be counted. I'll be singing my heart out, and I know the lads from here will so lets hope the other 30 odd thousand get behind us as well! java2001e
bolton are nothing if not predictable and moysey will have the team well prepared for this one. set pieces will give us good scoring opps. i fancy arteta to get one. i'd like us to play 2 upfront, bt and aj. bt's got the weight to worry bolton and he and aj could work well against a side like bolton. in defence we are without hibbo and he's a real loss. we need to keep djiouf under control otherwise there not much up front. bluehuddo
Another one we need to win (how many times have we said that in the past 2 months?) Have a grudging respect for Bolton even tho I hate the pricks. 1-0 With Osman scoring If we lose will just have to go out and enjoy the sunshine with a few beers to overcome the disappointment

FairWooney
a bit of a late prediction seeing as it's already half time but i'm predicting a 0-0. were struggling to score, we know how to defend against bolton and bolton have a good defence. not much of a thriller either. lets hope not though, let's hope the second half see's Johnson score a couple. Madmatt
just got back from the game. Long drive back and im a happy bunny tonight! will start with the bad points from today. Pip was crap. and i do mean crap. it was like we had 10 men. He couldnt pass, and couldnt tackle today. Joey cant play right back. he drifts to much into the centre, which left us exposed twice in opening 5 mins! Johnson looked cream crackered! No chang beer on sale today. The ref was a pathatic joke of an excuse AND WTF WAS THE Goodison MISSION OR WHATEVER SHE KEPT SAYING OVER THE SPEAKERS???? Anyway, onto the good points. I have always been pro beets, so for me to say the following makes me happy. He played his socks off today(about time i hear u cry!). had some great touches and some really good flick ons. give him and aj a few more games and they will understand each other far more. Victor looks a fantastic prostpect. Held the ball up so well. and great in the air, so so fast to! AND MIKKY ARTETA! WHAT A GOAL! was in the lower glwadys today, and had the perfect view. stunning. and to top it all off, listening to all the fickle bunch from accross the park ringing up to say rafa should be sacked and SG should be sold hahaha
Romey 1878
Pip, Carsley, Stubbs and Osman were shocking today. I actually forgot Osman was playing today I seen that much of him. Johnson looks like he needs a rest but thankfully Beattie pulled his socks up today to try and help the lad. Arteta and Valente were both outstanding and either one would be a good choice for man of the match. Lescott was solid as usual. Matt ive got to disagreewith you over Anichebe, he looked a lazy sack of shit when he came on, didnt really move towards the ball and was only interested if the ball was within a foot of him. A boring game but I'll take that because we still won. Bring on Charlton.
Bill
Nobody impressed me today i thought they were all average, and we got a fortunate win, it showed up our lack of any decent squad players. Over the last six or seven games i think theres only been Carsley and Johnson that has played in their correct positions, Lescot, Yobo and Neville have all had a go at fullback, Osman, Arteta, Davies and Mcfadden are switching from left to right, playing inside, and playing as strike partners, so is it any wonder we are going through a bad patch. It all started when we lost Hibbo, Nevilles good at fullback but it fooks the midfield about when he's not there, then we had to take the rock (Joleon) out of the middle and play him left back. We will have to bring in some decent players come january, We need decent cover for both full backs, and a decent left midfielder. Bit of an improvement from Beattie but still does'nt look like a £6m striker, also some improvement from Arteta, but the rest were only average, we were 2nd best today and got a lucky 3 points. Madmatt
Everton were quiet, but bolton were worse! hardly heard them all afternoon. was bouncing the lower g for most of the afternoon! really annoying not knowing what the woman was on about. Operation Goodison???? java2001e
well a lot of people said we would lose this one and would have been happy with a draw. so they should be over the moon with a win. bolton are a tough side to beat and theyve had a good season so far, but i can see them coming undone as the season progresses. arteta did well to get the winner. with cahill out for a while he may get more goal scoring opps. lets hope he takes them. aj is getting very close attention from defences and needs a lot of support to overcome them. again cahills absence may allow a bt/aj partnership to flower. if not weve got faddy and big vic waiting in the wings. a good win for us. i hope we can build a run of 3 pointers from this. Heard "The baby's not yours chant in the Park End"- Excellent!! Operation Goodison is just a fire/evacuation drill that they always do 2 or 3 times a season. They open all the gates for a few minutes then close them again. Don't really understand the point but there it is!! StevO
Goodison exercise is just a safety thing; they have to be able to show they could evacuate everybody within a short period of time. got to agree with Andy, the atmosphere has been shite at Goodison for a few years now. and i beg to differ with mad matt, the gwladys wasnt bounching at any point, im a bit disappointed to be honest. when ever ive been to old trafford they sing constantly through the whole game, and we get silenced by bolton. but about the game, its still obvious we need a left sided player. and right now Osman is not bringing anythin to the party. he was playing left midfield, most of the time he was infront of pip or cars, after a while neville was covering for him out wide! im glad Beattie put in a good shift, and as always AJ ran his socks off. hats off to Nuno and Micky, both played blinders. a win is a win, that will do for now
Andy
id play fadders at left wing, always seen him as sort of a winger who could cut in and either cross or have a go, lets not forget henry was a left winger before he came to arsenal
Randomness
Yes Nuno was class yesterday so often we see hibbert just launching it nuno played good ball on to people's chest's, to feet and one nice little chip to were AJ was running to. Zed
3 points in the bag, but we didnt get what we deserved Its a fine line between winning and loosing If we can show any consistancy and quality we could easily finish in the top six, outside the top 3 most teams are average at best
Guest fozzie
I think you got something there Zed,the premiership is a very poor league, this is why the england football team does fuck all when they come up against proper teams. Ian
3 points in a match we just didnt perform in. Neville was woeful, no matter what position your playing in, to lose the ball the amount of times he did was inexcuseable. Beattie did looked an improved played but like Bill said, still not 6 million good (sadly it doesnt look like he ever will , prove me wrongs Beattie) Carsely has been poor in recent games, and osman has not been up to scratch. MOTM for me was Valente, I thought he had a outstanding game, hes got real class that fella, didnt think much of him when he came but you can now so why hes got a fair few medals! Poor performance but like Mac said, 3 points from a team above us, top 6 is a must and again, echoing comments made, any less will be a failure. Oh Mikkys goal was alright as well......
