Guest fozzie
Here we go...just keeps it tidy for all of us. Posted my by Mikeo.. Unchanged team for the second test...there's a surprise . But hey, we've won the toss
Guest fozzie
So england have struggled to 58 for 2 on a turning pitch with just one spinner in the team..frankly its time for somebody to go,Monty should be playing in this game..an utterly shocking desecion by england not to play him. MikeO
Ridiculous...particularly now after the first day. Amazingly we're three only wickets down after day one and you can still get 9-2 on an England win. If we had any sort of bowling threat we'd be favourites surely but Oz are at a best of 7-4. Madness. Romey 1878
Im disappointed that Monty isnt in the team, as If Giles is going to be able to get any turn Not a bad score after day one, but it took KP to get the run rate going, and once he gets out we're fucked
Bill
Freddies due a few runs.
Romey 1878
I never expect Freddie to last more than 10 balls lately, to me he is only a bowler who can sometimes get a few runs before getting out stupidly
Ian
Ive been impressed with Collingwood and Bell so far. We all know Petierson has got it, he just pisses me off when he carelessly gives away his wicket <_< Come on England
Pat
They rekons from day 3 on the pitch will break up & force a result. Big toss 2 win, we needs 450+ & to bat all 2day & a bit of morrow...Then we are in the box seat. However, the match is very evenly poised @ stumps day 1. Thought McGrath looked a bit ginger @ times. Still wonder how we will take 20 wkts though. Day 2 about to start. Here goes.
MikeO
Collingwood's got his 100...I can go to bed now . Night all .
Guest fozzie
Good to see the 2 100's about time..bell and collingwood far too similar players to come in after each other,it did indeed take KP to get the innings going. But in all honesty you could play for 8 days on that track and just about get a result,so i'm going to stick my neck out and say this ones a draw. Fletchers interview on sky...what on earth was he going on about when asked about the selection policy over Monty..one moment he said we needed 2 spinners if we batted first and the next second he said we needed to bat to number 8..sorry the mans on drugs.. Mcgrath..maybe this massive thorn in englands side over the last few years time is coming to an end..looked very ill at ease..fantastic bowler though. MikeO
Nice to have batted the Aussies out of it. 551-6 dec is way beyond expectation (whatever the pitch). Draw still very likely but we ain't gonna lose this one!

bluehuddo
Great Day all round for Enland. Was worried for a bit that we were not going to declare, but Freddie has shown that he wants a win and not an honourable draw. Today is the day Harmison needs to bowl well if he does we should be halfway to winning!!
Pat
U went to bed to soon Mike. Whode have thought Colly would get a Second hundred. I like him got a bit of metal. Maybe not as natural or as good as some of his team mates, but application, determnation & steel can over come @ times even the greatest of talent. Here's hoping the Pitch falls to bits as were in the drivin seat. ( Wish weed had a day like this @ the Brizvegas test...LOL..)
MikeO
Ha...Hayden out for twelve...go England!!! Pat
I no we got thrashed 1st time out...But folks I tells ya lucky 1st test was last week & not this. They can expect a top today in adelaide of 28 c deg,,,Whilst up here we gonna get 38 is 33 mid morn wif humidity in the 90% range. with under a weeks turned around till the 2nd, phew we would never have recovered in such a short turnaround & the series could almost already be lost. Strangely 1st test weather in briz was meek & mild 4 this time o yr. LOL @ Oz physio who just tended to Gilchrist...."KURT RUSSELL"....!!!

Pat
Quote NZ Legend & former Test Captain ( yes Russell's Cuzzy) Martin Crowe. In life you can be guaranteed 3 things. Death, Taxes & a Century @ the Adelaide Oval. Late Edit: Havinga Chat With the lad's @ wrok Yesterday regarding Cricket. pretyy bloody well informed bunch 2. They all mostly showed grave concern in regards to their own side taking 20 wkts a match unless aided by conditions. They fear Mcgrath has lost another yard & that Warne whilst still very effective needs a miser bowling @ other end to fully utilise his skills. Big Calls 4 the Kid Mitchell Johnson to be picked, A left armed quick whom in the Tradition of Great Queenslunder Fast Bowlers ( Thompson, Mcdermott etc) they tell me is Loose, fukin quick & dangerous to Batsmans health. Another lil point I picked up 2, was that not all are convinced with Ponting as Captain. I then asked then whom?..2 which they stuttred , mumbled & didnt really have an alternative. Get the feeling in a cple years, this Aus side wont be the Bully its been & could be 4 the taking in the transitional years. The Aussie Fans are worried anyway.,

Guest fozzie
I have to say..whats the words i'm looking for?..fuckwits the lot of them..how can a side that scores over 500 runs in thier innings lose the test?

Romey 1878
Absolutely pathetic, and Foz you cant just have a go at Jones, our top order fell apart (again), I know Strauss shouldnt have been out though. What another great captain's performance....not
Pat
Watched every ball from lucnh break on. 2 mins after stating the Aussies are past it. They bullied us out of the match. Warne was amazing as was Collingwood, he dogged it out the rest...Well? Went Missing when the blow torch was applied. Very Dissap.
Guest fozzie
Absolutely pathetic, and Foz you cant just have a go at Jones, our top order fell apart (again), I know Strauss shouldnt have been out though. What another great captain's performance....not No mate Jones was a minor part of a bigger problem.. Strauss looks like a man whos pissed off at not being captain (he should be IMO)..Flintoff looks pissed off a being captian (he shouldnt be IMO) Peterson (sp) i dont know what to thik about him,its all well and good going to hit every ball for 6 but he played his best test innings in the first innings great play then gets himself out in an ugly way come the 2nd innings. Anderson...not test class s imple as thhat he should never pull on a jumper for england again. Fletcher has lost the plot..quite what has gone wrong is bewillerdering me the Batsmen have no form at all the bowlers look like they cant be arsed and our one main bowler who can take wickets sits watching in the stands,Harmison looks lost and frankly we cant keep picking him on the of chance he may take a wicket or two. Giles..well he shouldnt be there in the first place. Jones was picked for his batting..and i see no evidence of him being any better than read in this department his keeping is shoddy too..and this is the thing those two where picked by Fletcher..noone else Flintoff looks to go along with what he says but i fear he doesnt stand up to him,Struass seemed to have done in the summer hence the recall of Read its just asking way to much of freddie to all these things, but maybe Fletcher needed a yes man and i think he got one. Dont get me wroing freds the best since Botham (high praise) but he's not a captian for that matter niether was Botham.
