Philinsuffolk
Performance in the 1st half was good but in the 2nd we sat back and could have paid for it. I almost felt embarressed and sorry for Watford when leon popped the 3rd in at the end. But let's keep it in perspective - it was Watford, who despite being a decent, honest and hardworking team are desperately out of their depth in the Premiership. Now, if we can go to Sheffield next week and get 3 points then that would be a greater indication if we've got the guts for the fight. With Reading away at Arsenal next week, we have to get those 3 points at Sheffield - of our last 9 games 3 are Arsenal, United and Chelsea. Fernandes is class, I so hope we sign this lad - get into Europe and we've a chance of keeping him .
Romey 1878
Does anyone wants Priskin to be in our squad next term? I wouldnt mind taking a look at him tbh. He looked like he had something about him and could do a job in the Prem. And he's young aswell - only 20.
Dunny the Blue
Yeh he looked like their only threat, wouldnt mind him but its all about the price cos Watford are gona want to keep their best players for the championship. Bill
Phil..........""Fernandes is class, I so hope we sign this lad - get into Europe and we've a chance of keeping him. "" .... Depends on the price does'nt it, ?? I Dont think Davey Moyes or the Club want to spend Too much.
Romey 1878
The only gripe I have about Fernandes is sometimes he thinks he has a lot of time on the ball and gets dispossessed quite often.
Joe
The only gripe I have about Fernandes is sometimes he thinks he has a lot of time on the ball and gets dispossessed quite often.I agree but give him a little more time to adjust to the style of the Premiership and I think that will change. I am very impressed so far and hopefully we will be able to sign him.
Zed
I think Moyes would have played 451 today if not for the booing on Wednesday tbh. We were all saying that in the pub, just goes to show you doesnt it Power to the People

jamiemaher85
very pleaesed with that result and first half performance. Think that beattie and johnno should be given more of a run out, beatties finish might be a bit dire (but he mustn't have any confidence at all- and i think its telling that he wasn't given the penalty- even though he has always taken our pens) but beattie did put effort in and put a few nice balls in, especially from his head. another performance and result like this on saturday please! Romey 1878
It is quite strange that AJ took the penalty like, Spuddy was there as well and he actually tried to get the ball from AJ.
TrueBlue
Also noticed that Johnson said to Arteta "I'm having this". Don't think anyone other than him was takin that pen as he seemed determined to take it.
aaron
seems like he had a personal vendeta against watford, maybe he planed to do that celebration? who knows
Pat
Johnson's a Beford Boy, just down the lane. Hence the warm greeting's. Being an Ex Palace player wouldnt help either.

Don't think anyone other than him was takin that pen as he seemed determined to take it. ...thought BT was the pen taker when he's on the pitch...that's certainly how it was at the start of the season. Bluetrip
I don't think anyone would let him take a penalty at the moment, unless we were five goals to the good .
MikeO
...never thought I'd hear myself defending BT this season but he was the designated taker and he's not missed one has he?
jamiemaher85
think he may have missed one, but he is a good penalty taker. both he has taken this season have been text book
GoldfishMemory
On the other hand AJ wins the pens, takes the stick of managers, players & media & gets nothing in return. If I was getting that much stick every time I won a penalty I'd at least want the goal to add to my tally!
jamiemaher85
im fine with aj taking the pens as long as he keeps scoring them, and as if you say he wins the pens then he should get a chance at scoring them. even though beats is goood at taking pens i don;t think it would have been right for him to take it. fair enough he might of scored it, but if he had missed his confidence would have hit a new low, don't think it would be worth risking that. GoldfishMemory
He's hit the keeper a few times and had to follow up dont forget, I for one get nervous when I see him put the ball on the spot!
jamiemaher85
but one thing to remember was that AJ was pen taker at palace, i think he scored 11 pens in his season in the prem, didnt miss one... so my dad says anyway

Romey 1878
AJ is not the best of penalty takers, he's missed quite a few or had them saved and had to follow them up as BT has had to. I would have given the pen to BT myself.
