Everton's Most Disasterous Signing....

Recommended Posts

From the signings that I have seen (not been into football for that long- about 5 years) i'll go for:

........

..........

...........

............

Per Kroldrup....

because he only played for us twice while he was here.

You lot say what player you think and give a reason!

:)

Kroldrup has to take to prize closely followed by shandy but he only cost peanuts so it wasnt as major as it could have been.

In the past some other questionalble ones were Mikel Madar, John Oster, Gareth Farelly (god bless the lad a diabolical signing and living legend all rolled into one), Carl Tiler, Claus Thompson & Vinny Samways!

Fanny Jugears on loan. Didnt fucking score once the bastard.

Per Kroldrup, Waste of £5mil.

VDM, lazy waste of nothing.

Alisandro Pis-staker-one, back on a new contract, didnt even play much, more waste of money, prob signed him back to keep the tea ladies who fancy him.

Can forgive Franny Jeffers just about anything!......His goals along with Campbell's

at the tail end of 1998-99 saved our arses!......Then he made us £10million or

similar when he went to Arsenal!!That man did us far more good than bad!

Madar!!......certainly not our BEST signing, but his 6 goals in 15 games at the end

of the 1997-98 season again saved our arses!

Farrelly!!!!...again 1997-98,ok the lads not very good!but we must remember THAT

goal!

Worst signings?....for sure Kroldrup(don't blame him...blame the person who told Moyes

he was any good)

BUT THE REAL WORST.........GLEN KEELEY.......Mind you VDM's not far behind him.

Didnt he score against Arsenal in the cup?

Kroldrup for sure, how can a defender not be able to head the ball?

If you look back to what i said, i said Jeffers when we got him ON LOAN not when he was our offical player and Pistone when we realsed him on a free then brought him back. Sorry for any confusion like.

I know perfectly well what you meant, and my question still stands.

Im not too sure tbh mark, he may of in the cup but i know he didnt when he played in prem, then fell out with moyes. I just think it was a terrible move to make bringing him back, i know it prob didnt cost us much (apart from wages) but still money wasted.

Worst buys ....

Van D Meyde.

Bernie Wright.

James Beattie.

Not going along with KROLDROP, i think there is something we dont know about this signing, the guy is still first choice for Fiorentina, and is still in the International Squad.

He surely cant be that bad a player, can he. ??

Aside from loads of those already mentioned, Brett Angel & Stuart Barlow (those 2 always top my list), Earl Barret, Slaven Bilic, Marc Hottiger and Alex Nyarko (possibly the biggest digrace ever to wear a blue shirt).

Marc Hot-Tiger I forgot about him but he did a job!

Bakayoko - how much was he?

Nyarko - pratt!

Brett Angel - 1 goal in 15 (and it was crap, I was there)

Dicky Wright - unlucky with injuries, but ultimately...sh1te!

Yes. although if i'm being fair if teflon has been allowed to play more games, so he had played the same as these two Clowns maybe my opinion would be different.

Brett Angell.

From Wikipedia..."Brett Ashley Mark Angell (born August 20, 1968 in Marlborough, Wiltshire) is an English association football coach, who is currently unemployed."

No surprise there.

Amo was a bit of a let down all in all aswell, he was a record signing as I recall, his claim to fame being the 1995 semi goal, he didnt do feck all otherwise

got a vague recollection that he wasn't meant to come on in that game too. Rideout was injured by wanted to play on. Anyway, he came on and scored twice and then I think he scored twice in our next league game too (Newcastle maybe?) - apart from that he did NOTHING!

still fond memories of him and Dunc wearing blue noses after the 95 final though

Tobias Linderoth was pretty dismal!

Iain Turners contribution so far is to lose us a game against Man united and get sent off after nine minutes against Blackburn but he is still young.

Howard Kendall third stint was the worst Everton side I have ever seen.

Slaven Bilic, materazzi and dacourt liked to get sent off.

But for money spent and hope that they gave me the worst signings have got to be Alex Nyarko and Per Kroldrup.

Very negative this will start a new forum of best signing.
