I think he meant that, as captain, if he couldn't help us to a trophy, he'd consider himself a failure. He's saying he feels the weight of the responsibility to bring a trophy. Which is definitely a selfish statement, but one that has good intentions. -

Well, I can see a few reasons Stones is a good purchase. First, Coleman can't stay healthy when seeing regular action. Second, we're starting to get low on English players, and this helps our home grown ratio. Third, he could develop into a real talent, and hence an extra hot commodity, when you consider the prices other premiership clubs pay for English players. -

I like Etxebarria, too. He'd be cheaper than going for someone like Negredo, and he's only 25. Problem is, he's basically Osman's size or smaller and we need to go the other way with size in our midfield. -
