  1. The day your good self "burns my head" will be when I call it a day. You fail to remotely understand my "pedant" badge, I own it, its a standing joke. The very rare occasions I ever pull anyone up it's purely dependent on the person in question being able to take the joke, it's never done seriously or maliciiously, and I'm also totally able and happy to laugh at myself when Cornish comments on my mitakes (<<see what I did there). You misread me completely, most people don't fortunately, but you keep chuckling...no problem
  2. Seriously unimpressed, never again. Atmosphere was shite and found it a real struggle to see what was happening most of the time. Being bloody freezing didn't help, left well before the end.
  3. I'll be watching No need for an alarm though, I'll be up late finishing an audit of my local nail bar; we all need a hobby.
  4. At the moment you can only see if you're in tier one or two, by looking here. From May you'll be able to see how high up you are in tier one (which is where you'll be, same as me). "Supporters from 1-10,000 on the waiting list will be banded in increments of 500. I.e. The first band will be 1-500, the second band 501-1000, the third 1001-1500 and so on." I went on the list in August 2020 so you'll likely be a bit higher than me.
  5. What? I seriously have no idea what you're talking about. Where did grammar come into it for a start?
  6. Some things never change Matt was the snivelling apologist it seems. "Apologist" in Haf-speak is anyone who didn't want the man dismembered in front of the Gwladys.
  7. Wow! You should've mention these before
  8. Conversation about tabloid press credibility and you bring it round to Kenwright and it's not deflection? "Deflection is often used in arguments as a way to shift focus away from oneself and onto another person or issue. People commonly divert the pressure from themselves by changing the subject, pointing out someone else’s flaws or presenting unrelated information to distract from the main issue at hand." Like I said, textbook. As an aside, I do/did have a different opinion of Bill to you, but I'd be very interested if you could find an example of me "falling for" his lies. I'm here all day.
  9. It doesn't. What "matters" is that the fail is contradicting itself.
  10. Loved the first one and started the second, but wasn't grabbed by it. Maybe give it another go.
  11. "Facts" courtesy of unsubstantiated fail story. Why are we even talking about this? He's a bully who should be charged with ABH apparently, all on the say so of Matt Hughes. Fail has a video on its site now which says that Dyche left the table with Patterson, no mention of Tarkowski at all....so the "facts" that people are drawing their own "facts" from are not only uncorroborated, they're contradictory.
  12. Yup. Comparing what the fail said to what Haf said and pointing out the difference, no mention at all of what I believe (or don't) Anyone else play Chinese Whispers as a kid?
  13. Er...no, what makes you think that?
  14. "Of course there was ale involved" Again just speculation...but if he had had a beer then was it contributary to what it's "understood" he did? Seems to like a pint so you'd think he can handle it. "Down time" = alcohol? Again with embellishing the story, report says Tarkowski (just him, not "captains") took him "to one side," not outside, which has different connotations. If you want to swallow the whole story as written then go for it (general point, not just directed at Haf), and if you want to make it worse for whatever motive then fill yer boots...but does it not occur to you that if there was more to it the fail would've been all over it?
  15. You know that how? I took the degrading step of actually opening the fail site to read the article, and there was no mention at all of alcohol. What there was was, "Mail sport has learned" (no source) blah blah "Dyche is understood (by who? Again no source) to have apologised to Patterson." BLAH BLAH "...caused a stir among fellow restaurant diners." (none of whom felt the need or inclination to talk about it apparently). Can't believe how ridiculous this thread has got, everyone believing without question a highly dubious report, but not only that, going off into fantasy land to embellish it. Love a bit of drama don't we
  16. They opened with Shine on You Crazy Diamond and the keyboard first couple of minutes was fine, then the guitar part kicked in, and he was attacking the strings far too harshly imo...sounded like when the cat pulls at one of my strings with her claws. The original is a little bit like that admittedly but he overdid it for me, was worried at that point, but he was pretty much faultless from then on in. Good show.
  17. https://www.thedarksideofpinkfloyd.co.uk/ They were not bad at all. I could point out a few bits I was unimpressed by if I was being hypercritical (I was), but overall very good, time disappeared quickly which is always a good sign. (Playing in Birkenhead later in the year if you're interested)
  18. Going to see a Pink Floyd tribute band tonight; have no expectations because not something I've done before, but will be interesting. The guys make a living doing it so they can't be total shite (I hope).
  19. I turned it off after the Wolves goals. Mistake.
  20. Disagree. There are plenty of people who I could give a friendly slap to who I know would take it in the manner it's intended, doesn't everyone have mates/family/colleagues like that? But I wouldn't do it to my bank manager. There's not one rule fits all.
