  1. I want us to go for Danny Ings from Burnley. Hard worker, in the right place at the right time and his contract ends in the summer so wouldn't need to pay out the ar$e for him.
  2. Him and Coleman running down the right hand side would be a trouble for any team!
  3. Yeah but teams have seemed to have sussed it though. We don't have Barcelona players. When we play a team if they put pressure on us we will crumble, we just need a bit of tempo added into the game but again this is Martinez way because he likes patient style passing and trying to find an opening.
  4. Only reason we scored is because the players were playing differently even though Martinez was shouting at the touch line to pass the ball along the ground. First time I have seen us cross the ball over 5 times in a game and we scored from it! Normally we would try and work the ball in the box or drill it along the 6 yard box!
  5. I would take him but this is a no go. The only way Spurs would sell us Kaboul is if we sold McCarthy to them.
  6. I'm not sure about this game. Everyone wants to win the FA cup but with our league form being as it is then I don't know whether I would want us to play our best players and risk them getting injured or rest our best players for the City game.
  7. Like yesterday when Real Sociedad beat Barcelona 1-0!
  8. His career finished as soon as he left Newcastle for City.
  9. I would hate it if he went to Liverpool. If he went to another premier league club and got game time then I would be a bit happier about it but to leave Everton to sit on the bench at Liverpool would be frustrating!
  10. Damn, why didn't we go for Tony Pulis when we had the chance! FFS! Seriously though, if we got Moyes back (we won't, but I'm going along with it) then after a season people will be moaning, playing defensive football, not attractive blah blah blah. We are playing a different style football, can be frustrating at times but I believe in Martinez, I just think we need another CB and a bit more tempo.
  11. We haven't played bad under Martinez. Recent games we have, not going to lie. We haven't managed to test the opposition. Other games though we have played well and either drawn or lost. We have been unlucky but I do believe in Martinez. He said himself in a news conference that the players aren't enjoying the way we are playing at the moment but it is his job to get them motivated again. We won't get relegated.
  12. Can we sign Jan Mucha again on loan please!? ;-). I would rather Distin went in nets than Al-Habsi. The man is a reliability in net, even more so than Robles!
  13. I seen this on newsnow but this link seems to be the only rumour so far regarding him. I don't know what he is like so I can't really comment. I assume he is better than Distin anyway.
  14. I like Pienaar, although he does seem to have lost his head this season.
  15. I'm not sure, the price they are wanting for him is 8-12 million. The only team that would be daft enough to pay that would be Liverpool. I haven't seen him play but are you really going to get challenged in the Scottish premiership. If he came here I think he would struggle. Saying that he is young....
  16. I still think we wouldn't have won with 10 men against Newcastle. We played poor and didn't look like scoring at all.
  17. Have we actually scored directly from a corner since Lukaku last season against Liverpool 3-3? I can't recall us scoring directly from one. We scored against Swansea but the ball got cleared and Naismith took a shot and it deflected off 2 players in the net...
  18. Mine comes out of frustration as well. I still believe in our manager and the team but it makes me angry when we get it so wrong against the likes of Newcastle, Hull, Stoke etc when we have a better team than them! But I will continue to back our manager and the team and cheer them on each week!
  19. FFS, I rate Howard and he will be a huge loss to the team. Lets hope Joel can get the defence organized!!
  20. Nigel De Jong - don't like the man. Glad he is not in the premier league any more. Also Papiss Cisse, Fernandinho and also if he was still playing Robbie Savage!
  21. I think some of the decisions Martinez has made this season have been questionable. The fact of the matter is that we aren't actually playing bad, the only teams that have scored more goals are the top 6 at the moment. Even Liverpool have only scored 22 goals compared to our 29. The problem is our defence is falling apart. We have made more defensive errors than any other team this season.
  22. What a rubbish performance. The players don't seem up for it at the moment. We were missing key players, played others out of position because of injuries etc. Joel - Was fault for the second goal + McGeady. Everyone is on Howard's back saying what a cr@p goalkeeper he is but the difference being that Howard would have been on his line and saved the second. Joel was out of position and by the time he realised the ball went into the back of the net. Don't get me wrong, he has passion, you could hear him scream at our defence yesterday for their errors. Which you need in a goal keeper but second was down to him and McGeady. McGeady - Was at fault for two of the goals. We were on the attack he lost the ball they are on the counter and then they get corners which in the end score. 2nd goal he tried to much in our own half, when he should have just passed it out wide to another player or even hoofed it. Anything but try and get past players and get tackled. Martinez - I do like Martinez and will continue to back our manager but the substitutions yesterday were a bit weird. If McCarthy was injured then why not put Besic on instead? Also Eto'o clearly lost his head in that game and was getting frustrated. Why not put Lukaku on for him? Kone had a good game and looked more likely to score than Eto'o. I don't know what Martinez is hoping for with the Lukaku and Eto'o partnership but it isn't working. It doesn't matter if Cisse did get sent off I still believe that Newcastle would have won it anyway. They looked more dangerous on the attack than we did and looked more likely to score. Plus teams sometimes play better with 10 men because they have more to play for. Overall we looked like a team that has lost it's way. Bring back Stones + Jags partnership. Next game Hull Away, COYB!
  23. I don't think Atsu is a bad player but he isn't a great player either. He isn't the sort of player that can change a game but he does have pace and an okay touch and isn't bad at passing. He is weak at taking on defenders, tracking back and defending and he isn't strong either and can't hold the ball up. Hopefully we will cancel the loan in January and make another two loans as well.
