Agreed. They are investment minded and will know staying up is paramount to monetary value. So they can't tank like they did the Padres because their investment will be worth less than what they paid if we are relegated. They will know Europe and top 5 equals lots of tv money and other money that would increase the value of their club and investment.

rudimentary analysis for me brings me to think at worst it's the same results as BK tenure but with a new stadium. 18 years they ran the Padres and qualfied for playoffs 4 times and went to World Series 1 time. Basically the same Everton CL/Europa qualification during BK tenure except we didn't make it to a final of either. so for me if it's a new stadium and better financials but with the same results i couldn't really complain, better than what we have now. thoughts?

they are investment people and the basics of investment is develop and flip. so yes they would want to build the new stadium to increase the club value and ad revenue. read the articles on the padres, they did the same thing with them. no reason to believe they wouldn't with us.

you're misreading. never said he can't tackle and doesn't contribute. i simply said there are better passers than him. i'm not saying i don't like mccarthy just stating the obvious, he doesn't have a great forward pass on him. gibson does. clev and besic do as well. not slating james, he's a different kind of player. which is why people are calling for someone else.

yes and mori has scored one goal does that mean he's a forward now? FFS you're generalizing from one instance to a broad sense. its just not his forte. ever seen him far up the pitch? if you do he's usually waffing a shot/pass in the box. the vast majority of mccarthy passes are short sideways or backwards passes. he doesn't play through balls to anyone. besic and clev and gibson have that ability. simple as that. doesn't mean better or worse, just different skill sets hence why people would want that.

mccarthy can't pass. all he does is run around and throw tackles and break up passes. he's great at it, but he doesn't help the transition game or add anything in attack. he's strictly defensive minded. besic and cleverley can do both. this adds another element to attack and transitions that is lacking with mccarthy. that is why people want besic or clev.
