On his day he's player no doubt. Just needs his time managed well ala SAF and van persie. RM needs him off at 60' and only one match a week. Kone is great this year really happy for him and us, a real team player and you can tell the others like him as well. Just needs to be managed properly.

It's been mentioned before Roberto himself was a holding mid and loves those players. Arsenal champs league every year have 1 holding mid full stop. Their full backs attack just as much so that argument is bunk. Same with man city toure doesn't defend its all Fernandinho for the lone holder. Same with barca busquets lone holder rakitic and iniesta play forward. If Barry was faster he could be the lone holder. Or if McCarthy could pass better. Honestly tom clev would be a nice lone holder ala poor mans busquets. Can pass nicely and has a tackle and some pace.

You're right mike. That's his strength for sure. Mentioned it elsewhere that he would make a great sporting director or technical director. I'm charge of instilling a philopshy and style and acquiring players and letting others go. Does a fantastic job at that no doubt full stop. His man management, time management, sub management, etc is where he leaves us wanting. Plays favorites too which you simply can't do.
