  1. yes and no. i was reading it more like he is the perfect compliment to a galloway/mori/stones who want to go forward. he's the jags type who will just stay back and defend and be last man standing.
  2. i would rather have him back for arsenal. let him get fully fit, i don't want him getting injured again.
  3. Slovakia qualified yesterday, my family is happy (that is my mother and father's families heritage). Yes Holland falling apart, pulling a USA here (we are awful).
  4. yep i had the same sentiment above a couple posts. he either needs to sell to the right person or i fear for the new owner. unless earl is feeling altruistic and puts the shares in the open and sells the club to fans who create a supporters trust who runs the club. works for swansea.
  5. Honestly I don't see anything happening till after bill passes away, and Lord willing that is a long time away. At that point they'll either find another pro Everton proxy or just sell it outright. Maybe we will be owned by some Far East businessman willing to delve millions into the club if we change our colors to red and call ourselves the dragons. I just don't feel confident that a sale would result in a good owner at this point. Earl and the like wouldn't have the best interests of the club at heart.
  6. so CONMEBOL is home and away 10 teams (18 matches) top 4.5 advance. CONCACAF is a 4 round tournament, where the first 2 rounds weed out the sides that didn't qualify for the last WC. Same concept could be used here and then broken down into groups to qualify ala UEFA. that way travel is only within the rounds and i'ts 6-8 matches. could work but you're right they'd have to work out the travel kinks.
  7. http://www.espnfc.us/blog/marcotti-musings/62/post/2659199/jurgen-klopp-talks-sense-and-michel-platini-must-convince good idea on how to solve CONMEBOL and CONCACAF troubles. CONMEBOL wants more spots since their level is high and amount of federations is low. CONCACAF (us and mexico mainly) wants to play agaisnt the best. Join forces. 8 WC spots with 45 federations. What a qualifying process that would be, US would be with the big boys but it would make them better for sure. We can dream can't we!
  8. john you are correct. all the american tech companies are "headquartered" in Ireland and avoid paying billions of tax dollars in the US. scum. Yes i'm looking at you Microsoft and Apple.
  9. yeah id rather see him at CB sooner than later though. i think oviedo is gone after this year, so it will be baines and garbutt like it should be. well have stones jags, mori, galloway at CB, and browning can go on loan. Still need a RB backup though, must be addressed this summer.
  10. Hell of a match. Didn't go our way but the neutral was in for a treat. For me jones or beckerman should have been off at 70' for Williams. No idea why Fabian came off, he was consistent for us. The subs were strange and super late. His attack style was non evident as we parked the bus and countered all day. JK can go for me too but I don't think they'll fire him. Us soccer loves him
  11. What a set piece by Bradley. Textbook perfect delivery.
  12. Here we go Guzan Fabian Cameron besler Beasley Jones beckerman Bradley Zardes Altidore Dempsey Go yanks!!
  13. Lol mike reminds me of my favourte British tv show. The mighty boosh https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bKwQ_zeRwEs
  14. No doubt but he is a decent manager. Brought west ham back up. Kept them up. Again nothing special but he's better than hiring jimmy championship manager.
  15. honestly he's a decent manager, i don't like the style or him personally but he gets decent results. I don't think he will this time though. They are a shambles and just don't look talented or up for it. I can see them going down.
  16. I love prince and love jazz I will check this out. Haha Mike, different strokes for different folks no worries.
  17. I hope so too Keith, Dempsey is my favorite American player.
  18. I respect you and your opinion and understand where you are coming from. For me the US is sorely lacking quality attacking players. This is why under Juergen we are crap against a decent side. Bob Bradley defend first and counter was good because we have athletes not technical players. I think a mou would play to our strengths. Honestly I like bob and would have him back, I'm in the minority most likely but he's done well in Egypt and Norway.
  19. http://www.espnfc.us/liverpool/story/2653175/jurgen-klopp-appointed-liverpool-manager-after-rodgers-exit it's official Klopp is now scum of the earth and a bastard. the new years derby will be interesting.
  20. Sinatra/Jobim Frank Sinatra sings Antonio Carlos Jobim's Bossa Nova music. I love Bossa nova, very 60's jet set mellow and relaxing beachy type music. Sinatra is one of the best, and he's just making this day sail by. i wish modern jazz singers had his intonation, his pitch is perfect, the man was an artist. 2 fingers of jack daniels on the rocks splash of water, what a man, what a drink.
  21. Haf the only person who creates a better parable is Jesus. you sir are a master of analogies. i tip my hat to you.
  22. LOL mike, guess Klopp will have to clarify that at the signing press conference.
  23. spot on. i was trying to figure this one out too.
