matt not trying to be argumentative (but i will be ). to be a winger you don't need to play fullback to learn what to attack. to be DCM you don't have to play ACM to learn how to defend against that. you don't play striker to learn how to be a goalkeeper. the logic of this doesn't make sense.
i think it's more of we have a need, it's filled. square peg round hole but he's getting first team time which is beneficial for him. same with browning. i don't know why he isn't loaned to a championship or league 1 side and told to play CB, that's what he will play why not start now?
don't think he's meant to be much. just meant to be a backup RB when seamus gets hurt. as long as he's not a liability and can defende decently (better than browning) that's all we need. if he's played at top levels before, it seems it's just a matter of fitness and getting to know our tactics.
Sorry must have got you confused with someone else.
Any who, I wonder what the red shite are thinking? Winnable game? Season is back on track after winning their last match?
I agree mc, the lack of European success is a tell tale sign for me. the physicality of the prem is fun, but I feel the more technical Germans Italians and Spanish are able to beat us.
sounds like an upgrade on browning at RB. played first team in La Liga and was decent just beset by injuries. 26 years old so still is young and could improve. smart move for me, we've needed a backup to seamus for a while.
yes and no matt. arsenal announced their strategy and everyone knew wenger was skint because they had emirates to pay for. now they don't.
same with spurs, they just announced the new stadium with the nfl team. hasn't been built hasn't been started but they're trying to do it and announced their intentions. same with west ham announcing from the outset their were trying to lock up olympic stadium and then getting it. no need for secrecy.
oxy moron - fit again sturridge. lads never fit always half injured, let's hope besic is back for a solid tackle and daniel can spend more time on the physio table
if that were true i'd be ok with it, would be nice if they told us though. "we're saving for the stadium, ten year plan similar to arsenal, etc" instead it's crickets and we're left to wonder and postulate.
Let's hope Gerry is always a starter now with the understanding he will sling anything into the box and rom is just to be there and do what he does best, finish.
Ok
Also i forgot we had Naisy, after his hat trick he's been so anonymous. No start for him from me, he needs a rest. Lennon should start.
Howard
Coleman stones jags Galloway
McCarthy Barry
Gerry Barkley Lennon
Lukaku
Subs Kone Naisy Gibson
I think we need to batter their defense and just play a high line if stones and Coleman are back. Full press and attack. Their d is weak and fullbacks are very weak.
Will be quality when actually played at his position, centre back. He is no modern fullback. in the meantime a solid stop gap but with a baines in this team we could turn into a nice side come holidays, also mirallas back and it's like new signings.
Just got home from work holy shit I missed a hell of a match lads. Watched highlights and I'm buzzing. Glad we got 3 points now let's go kick the shite's ass
Guys I am going to start playing the lottery, hope to win big and save the club lol
On a more serious note. Could the club he owned by the supporters? Say supporters buy a share and vote on a board and the like?
