If he's trying to keep anywhere near his £130k a week wages then Harte is not going anywhere other than the usual big team, take the money and never play again club. Current Members, Remy, Bony, Schweinsteiger, etc. If you want to play regularly, lower your wage expectations and extend your football career or grow fat and end your career. That's the way it works.

I'd wait till the end of the window before outliing this. We have also freed up wages from 5 senior players moving on (Osman, Hibbert, Pienar, Howard and Stones). If we can get the right players I think we'll get another 2 or 3 in before the window closes. I'm less bothered about how much we spend and much more bothered about the players themselves.

What is his main position. At Newcastle I saw him play on both wings, across most of the midfield. For France he was 1 of 3 Central Midfielders wasn't he? I don't see him as a DCM or a No.10 behind the striker so would that mean us looking to play a back 4, 1 DCM, 2CM, 2wingers and a Striker?

I quite like Sissoko as a player, I just don;t quite understand where we would play him in our typical formations?

To my mind when footballers look at moving to a team they look for 1) Money 2) European Football (preferably Champions League) 3) To be a regular player not on the bench 4) To put themselves in a position to be picked for international duty. Now 2) and 3) relate highly to achieving 4). If you want to attract a quality player and you're not in Europe and that player can go play for a European Competition team then you're going to need to pay them over the odds to get them to your club. Fact of Life I'm afraid. Although that then obviously makes the player a mercenary as he should have chosen us anyway for the love of the club even though we're not in Europe. When the market gets like this, and especially now Steve Walsh is in place, I would rather us buy 4 or 5 lower league promising players instead of 1 big name with a view that at least 1 of them will be a gem.

Out of all the players we've been lnked with, this is the one I want the most. He'd make an excellent number 10 and it means Ross can move back in to a more central midfield role (which is where I think he is best).

Great. We can have Strootman and Gibson in midfield. If we then sign Andy Carrol up front and Jack Wilshere to play 3 in Midfield we can redevelop Goodison as a hospital when we move stadium and let them rest there on a collective £500k a week in the same ward!
