  1. I haven't been paying too much attention to Swansea as of late, but isn't Michu back? It'd be interesting to see if he and Bony can work together. Like others I'd like to see McGeady start over Mirallas. We should eek out a win but it won't be that easy.
  2. Aw man, I hope that wasn't a dream. That's a briliant response!
  3. The Chinese are laughing at this. As the US and EU alientate Russia, Russia and China will become more linked. And how the fuck are we going to sway policy issues with China when we (the US) owes them billions of dollars and we can't turn to the Russians for political support. And Russia's annexation of Crimea just justifies China's usufruction of Tibet and helps to make a play for their attempts to annex Taiwan. I expect no Taiwanese cries of independence for long while. And that "analysis" by Steven Segal is precious.
  4. I agree, this is a very odd case of a missing plane. Given your points, there was either something/someone on the plane that needed a very secure disposal; or some group (e.g., terrorist group) wanted the plane (but what could they do with it? Pack it full of explosives and crash it somewhere...surely it would be shot down before it reached the target); or it was a hijacking gone wrong and the plane has crashed somewhere in a remote area. Parsimony would suggest the latter point.
  5. Finally got to watch this clip Steve. Quite a lot of talent in that group! Congrats.
  6. RM knows how to craft an effective and witty response. I recall he also had a great response to AVB (back when he was in charge at Spurs), which I still find funny: "Obviously we're waiting for Roberto Soldado to apologise to Phil Jagielka and use the same phonecall so we don't have to pay for two phonecalls."
  7. Welcome to the forum Nina. You will be amazed at that collective knowledge of all things Everton as well as football here; I learn a lot from hanging out here.
  8. Indeed Steve, and it would be nice if Baines was able to be more involved in scoring with at least this many goals: Hoping that Jags and Pienaar are fit to play.
  9. Not to state the obvious, but we need to come out swinging. I don't care if we play long balls or take shots from distance. The typical RM "patient build-up" is fine and all, but we haven't scored early-on in a game, particularly when playing away, in a long while. An early goal is likely to rattle their cage.
  10. That's bizarre and kinda funny. You'd think folks would learn: don't tweet the first thought the comes into your head.
  11. I'm still new to this forum, but nevertheless really enjoy your input here. I'm really sorry to hear this. Get on the mend soon my friend.
  12. Ha! Fair enough. And to think that was my "toned down" version. After watching the game, suffice to say, I was a little amped up with frustration.
  13. Ugh...just watched the game on tape-delay. I hate Chelsea, don't like that philandering john terry, don't like that thug Ivanovic, don't like that arrogant dickhead mourinho, don't like that fraudster, racketeering asshole owner, nothing to like about that team. Decent performance (relative to the last few EPL matches) and nothing to show for it. Heart-breaking.
  14. This is great news...I'm really happy that the recovery is going well. He's been an exemplary player and professional on and off the bench. Holy cow, his wife is a cutie...I'd be rushing to get home soon too!
  15. This majestic dog makes me smile. I grew up a cat person (still am one) but at about age 37, I got a border collie and my life changed for the better.
  16. Welcome. It's a fun, funny, and knowledgable group here.
  17. Bernie was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting much when I watched it, and it turned out to be quite good. I'm starting series 2 of "House of Cards" and just finished up "The Killing" (both on netflix).
  18. Zombeavers...these days all you need is a portmanteau for a title and the rest of the film will make itself, e.g., "sharknado"
  19. Not pretty but a good result nonetheless. What's up with Joe "two-left-feet" Robles? Scares me. Traore had many poor touches (except for one, I suppose).
  20. Everton 2 - 1 Swansea Traore (why the heck not?)
  21. Yikes, had no idea about the bad weather. I was looking forward to Traore playing today. Perhaps he'll make an appearance at Swansea.
  22. This is the guy who put Bale and Paulino, among others, out for weeks with clumsy and/or pernicious tackles. Fuck him. Not a Blue.
