  1. Thank you for sharing this @Hafnia. This is excellent stuff. Love this kind of chat, it's something we Americans have yet to embrace.
  2. For about 8 days I mostly forgot about our situation. Now it's all I can think about again. We haven't won a league game away from home since bloody f***ing August. That's 9 losses and 2 draws on the trot, including to Brentford and Norwich, and we've been outscored 26-6. Bless all the supporters brave enough to go to West Ham and Burnley. True masochists. Beat Burnley and we just might catch Leeds or Brentford for 16th with our games in hand.
  3. 3 points from 2 away games in 4 days. Need everyone be reminded of our away form this season. Absolutely we'd take that. Hell I'd take 2 points.
  4. Agree wholeheartedly with all of this. I think Frank is the man to lead us for several years, and I never thought that would be the case. Imagine being in his shoes right now. We were destroying palace for 15 mins and then Keane turns into a parking cone again and we concede. Game over. There is no coaching for what our players do. We had Carlo fucking Ancelotti for Christ’s sake. This lot are an embarrassment.
  5. Injuries, suspension and cup-tied leaves us very light. Begovic, Lonergan, Kenny, Patterson, Holgate, Keane, Mykolenko, Godfrey, Seamus, Branthwaite, Townsend, doucs, Iwobi, Gomes, richarlison, dcl, gray, cenk, Gordon, Salomon without Allan I’d like to see us go 3-4-3 begovic kenny Keane godfrey patterson doucs gomes mykolenko gray dcl richarlison gordon needs a rest. Gray and richarlison can tuck inside and use their work rate to help doucs gomes at times and allow Patterson and mykolenko to provide the width.
  6. Current status: 38 points Brentford (H): 3 points Burnley (A): 3 points Leeds (H): 3 points (actual: 3 points) Newcastle (H): 3 points (actual: 3 points) Palace (H): 3 points Watford (A): 3 points Leicester (H): 1 point Southampton (A): 1 point (actual: 0 points) Wolves (H): 1 point (actual: 0 points) Arsenal (A): 0 points Chelsea (H): 0 points Leicester (A): 0 points Liverpool (A): 0 points Man City (H): 0 points (actual: 0 points) Man United (H): 0 points Spurs (A): 0 points (actual: 0 points) West Ham (A): 0 points We're keeping on pace. Beating Burnley and Watford might, might just be enough regardless of every other result. But they're both away so we know how that's likely to go.
  7. If we launch one more ball in the air to Dan Burn...jesus f***ing h
  8. Calling us toothless is an insult to the word toothless. The only way we look like scoring is a VAR awarded pen
  9. Charging? He never left 2nd gear except to needlessly bully their keeper. His football is garbage and he's exactly the type of character that changing room doesn't need at the moment.
  10. We've not won in 4 against newcastle including 3 straight losses.
  11. Anybody think if we kickoff Sunday in 18th (based on Burnley result against Brentford) that’s a good thing? Maybe the fact we aren’t actually in the relegation zone has this useless squad feeling too comfortable…
  12. Enjoy @MikeO If you look at the results it seems like 4231 causes Wolves the most trouble. Pickford Kenny Godfrey Branthwaite Mykolenko Allan Doucoure Gray DVB Gordon Richarlison Wolves do play Thursday so we'll have the fresher legs, not that any of us think it's a matter of fresh legs that can save us.
  13. The longer I've been a fan the less appealing it becomes to every year suggest wholesale changes. Usually 2-3 incomings is all it takes to have a real impact. That said, I see absolutely no hope for most of this squad and IF we don't get relegated it will be the biggest summer in the 21st century. We're unbelievably close to being a consistent midtable club whose measure of success would be top half and is one or two injuries from relegation, forget about Europe. Think Villa and Southampton. I don't know much about this lad Thelwell but he has a meteoric task on hand. Squad for 22/23 right now: GK: Pickford, Begovic(option), J Virginia, Crellin DEF: Keane, Mina, Holgate, Godfrey, Mykolenko, Coleman, Patterson, Branthwaite, Nkounkou MID: Allan, Doucoure, Gomes, Davies, Gbamin, Dele FWD: DCL, Richarlison, Gray, Townsend, Gordon, Iwobi, Rondon Gone after 21/22: Lonergan, Kenny, Delph, Siggy, Tosun, El Ghazi, Tosun On loan 22/23: Moise Kean Needs to go: Keane, Holgate, Gomes, Gbamin, Iwobi, Rondon Need to sign: Starting RB, Starting CB, Starting LB, Starting DCM, Starting #10/playmaker, backup ST, backup W, 2 backup CMs At least 6 out and 9 in under our financial fair play restrictions. The only glimmer of hope is Thelwell can use his knowledge of MLS to find a bargain or two. There's legitimate talent here now.
  14. Anyone still thinking we're not battling relegation is wrong. I'm expecting it to come down to the last two weeks and if we miraculously pull ourselves out of it before then, dandy.
  15. He has to do whatever it takes to make this game 3-1 or 3-2. This is a trainwreck, we need some fight to take into Wolves.
  16. Games in hand only count if you can actually get points from them. We cannot. We're averaging fewer than 1 point per game. So if we keep that average we're one point ahead of Leeds and 2 behind brentford. This is a dog fight and we have a squad of Dreamcloud mattresses.
  17. Winner today visits Palace in the quarterfinal. Boro host Chelsea, Southampton host City and Forest/Huddersfield host the shite.
  18. Fook. That sucks, they could both really use a game. BegovicPatterson Keane Branthwaite MykolenkoOnyango HolgateTownsend Gray IwobiCenk
