Mina on the bench is a concern, Godfrey needs to find his old level here. Good to have Coleman back and hopefully Iwobi has a good game - would have preferred to see Gordon though. Gbamim on the bench is a positive

No Richy or Dom as suspected. Hopefully Rondon has gotten some conditioning in and I’m expecting the same team that took on Man U. Fingers crossed Gordon has a big game!

Chance to go joint third here and keep some momentum into some very winnable games. Might be another game to grind out the win as it sounds like we are still missing a few players.

It’s no ideal but as centre back he won’t be fatigued like a midfielder or winger. Day time flight Friday, all day Saturday to recoup and I think he would be okay unless he has a niggle. These international schedules are ridiculous though.

Fair opinion mate however I think Godfrey has been pretty poor for the start of the season and whilst we all know we need to replace Coleman he hasn’t put a foot wrong when called upon. Townsend is in the form of his life - literally. So I would be playing him as much as possible

I hope he has his head down and is working hard towards a couple of deals in January. Summer window showed we don’t need to splash a lot of cash to get some quality in if we target the right players but our depth in certain areas is alarming. It will be unacceptable to lose out in Europe due to lack of depth. Theres some decent players with a year left on contracts that we could get for a decent price and hopefully a “Sidibe” like loan for left back coverage

It’s on its way. Villarreal are giving them some real head aches - sitting deep with a compact & organised defensive structure and then breaking quickly forward. More clinical uptop and they probably have a 3 goal lead right now. If we can get ourselves sorted defensively I think we have enough pace in the team to hurt them.
