Deacs reacted to Shukes in Ramiro Funes Mori
I have witnessed loads of stirring moments from Jags, tackles, Headers and blocks that must have been painful.
Just because he generally times them well doesn't mean he has no passion.
If Jags shouted like Terry, would that make him a better player.....or just a mouthy twat?

Deacs reacted to MikeO in Now Martinez has gone, who should get the nod...
How can it be "breaking news" that something hasn't happened ?
In other news, today I will not be not be bedding Emilia Clarke.

This is a chance to send fans and players off with a smile and a good feeling. Play the youngsters, play 2 wingers and play without fear.

Mirallas will be like the proverbial new signing next year and I'm looking forward to him proving a point

I'm going to register on a Leicester forum and ask if anyone with a ticket for tomorrow would consider selling it to me. Dead game for them after all, probably be half empty .

Deacs reacted to Mogsy in Predict our result: 2015/16 season
I think as roberto has been sacked we should postpone the last round of predictions and leave the above as the final table!? Sound fair????

Whatever makes your life easier, Steve. It's obviously a lot of work for you so if there's a way to simplify it for you then do it.

Deacs reacted to Paddock in Martinez - Direction?
I feel sorry for Martinez, he's way out his depth the board should have put an end to this ages ago. I lay the blame soley at their door, he's tried his best I have no doubt about that it's just not enough enough. They're now hanging him out to dry, he looks haunted and it's not nice to see. The human in me wants it to stop for the good of the mans health.

Good point but I'd prefer to see dovetail or mortise and tenon personally.

Oh yeah, because both Kenwright and Moshiri are gonna sit on a train and discuss it with a random bloke.
It's a nothing story.

I liked this beauty from Redknapp in last week's column, for the Telegraph.

Deacs reacted to Hafnia in Wilfried Bony
I don't rate Belgians apparently. I hated Jan marie pfaff because he was supposed to be better than southall, I don't like Stella as it leads to domestic abuse, tin tin was shit... I did like Enzo scifo though, he should have been much more.

Deacs reacted to johnh in Martinez - Direction?
The main problem with Roberto is his stubbornness, his apparent refusal to learn from mistakes. This means that his tactics are easily analysed and there are a number of very sharp managers in the Premiership who will do just that. Why is is that we have such a poor home record? In most cases its because opposition managers have done their homework and adopt their tactics accordingly. We do not play well against teams who consistently get 10 men behind the ball. We struggle to open up packed defences. This is why our home record is so poor. When we play away, the opposition attack us more which provides more space for our mid-field and attackers. At home, we do not win many headers from crosses so our crosses tend to be low or pulled back. For his size, Rom should win far more headers than he does, but we need someone with a good leap who can unsettle defences and provide an outlet for our wide players.

But for Everton it's...
134 games
60 wins
36 draws
38 losses
160 goals scored
130 against
44.8% win ratio
The stats that involve his time at Swansea & Wigan are meaningless as far as I'm concerned.

Deacs reacted to Hafnia in Longest Thread For Drivel (or the Romelu Lukaku thread)
as we seen under Moyes time - its not necessarily the fees that govern the quality of the players - its the money you can offer in wages vs your rival bidders.
wages are essentially controlled by financial fair play - we don't generate enough revenue to compete with the big boys in terms of the wages we can offer. Even clubs like west ham are now paying the likes of Payet £125k a week... a few years ago they would be blown out the water by us when we had arteta on £70k a week.
The £100m transfer pot will need to be used very creatively. There may be a fair bit of gambling in terms of buying lesser paid "wonderkids" vs established players as the wage bill could spiral out of control very very easily.
Put simply - we need the 50,000+ stadium with corporate entertainment etc very quickly.

We were indeed.
Two strikers is a must if Rom goes, Kone isn't good enough back-up.
