  1. You really think it’s good business that we pay a player well over 100k a week who doesn’t get in the team, because it makes a player who’s on 100k a week play better, really?
  2. I understand the sentiment behind what you said. I only wish we had someone in the club with the foresight to have made him an offer, but can’t complain we got Ali instead
  3. Why do you say that he’s a central midfielder, when I look at his playing position his last starts showed 30 CM 8 Forward and 1 LM. Surely the reason he’s not playing is because he’s simply not good enough, whether that’s ability mentally emotionally physically or attitude or a combination I don’t know, but what I do believe is he’s not sat on the bench because he’s better or equal to what’s playing for us every week because if he was that would be a mystery.
  4. If all who played against Utd are fit and available for Leicester why change it, it would be a slap in the face to those who started, and those who didn’t would except or wouldn’t expect to be starting, sometimes players do enough in a team performance that says they deserve to play the next game and not to be dropped. Why anyone would consider dropping or moving Iwobi’s position to suit bringing DVB in, for me absolutely a no no and crazy to consider it he had to be the best player on the pitch against Utd, also for the same reason as Rom I wouldn’t rush Mina back in for Keane or Godfrey. Lampard needs to reward those who started against Utd and try to keep a winning team together, and the players will try to repay his faith in them.
  5. I said weeks ago he is going to try and use the war as his get out jail free card, in the same way Thatcher used the Falklands.
  6. Is your understanding that we can’t use any money from sales until we have offset a percentage of our debt to please those monitoring FFP rules.
  7. Wasn’t the Digne money used as the funds to sign Mykolenko and Patterson, obviously I’m to not sure but that was my belief. If DCL goes then we will need to spend the money on a striker, but what a gamble that will be it’s got to be over a decade since we got that right.
  8. Top man, and just as blue as anyone else I know
  9. I think it was more his game was sacrificed to play left or right wing, in favour of Gylfi,James, Gomes, and Doucoure to play CM. He always maintained his best position was CM and now he’s getting a run there it’s showing he was right all along.
  10. So if you are not smiling which one are you a Scott or a Yorkie ?
  11. I would have taken the draw at Burnley to be honest, but if you dwell to much on the what if’s your end up a broken man. Your right another big performance against Leicester would be a huge step to safety, and that is something which is in our control.
  12. Yes mate I have to my head won’t allow me not to.
  13. I understand what you mean with the slurs on his character and I don’t want to go down that route, I personally find it difficult to believe any player would go on the pitch and not try or care whether they are happy or not. That has been aimed at a few players here over the years, Schneiderlin comes to mind, when the reality was he lost his ability and drive and couldn’t regain it, even a move didn’t work for him, this is what concerns me about DCL has he lost something or found a level that he can’t get above any more. He said he’s giving 100% and I do believe him whether what we’ve seen from him in the past is still with him only time will tell.
  14. For me again this win was as much if not more down to the Goodison roar as it was to the players or management, until we can show that intensity and commitment away from home, without the supporters pushing them to the win, can we really say we are improving as a team.
  15. He will get better going forward, he has to lose that little bit of hesitation and go and trust the ball will arrive in the space he’s moving into, at the moment he seems to be caught in two minds of whether to stay or move forward which is holding his potential back slightly.
  16. I’ll take his word for it when he says he’s giving 100% who am I to say he’s lying, now if what I’m seeing is him giving 100% then for me it’s very much time to except he isn’t good enough to play for us. Most Evertonian’s know he isn’t a prolific goal scorer bar one blue moon phase at the beginning of last season his goals per games ratio is quite poor, but what we liked from him was his work rate and fight, he defended from the front gave defenders a hard time and brought others into play by holding the ball up, we aren’t seeing that anymore yet he says he’s giving 100% does that mean he’s at his max and there’s no room left in him for improvement.
  17. I was really torn between Iwobi and Pickford in the end went with my heart as much as my head and gave it to Iwobi, it was a win based on hard work more than flowing football and no one worked harder than Iwobi he set the standards for others to try and follow, what an all round performance he’s starting to show us what he always said he had.
  18. Changed my mind Pickford another game saving save.
  19. Iwobi’s is my motm led by example is work rate and composure unbelievable.
