  1. Last time I had good drink in Union street was about 18 years ago, I was playing golf in the area, you still had to be careful then.
  2. I love it in the upper Gwladys electric atmosphere.
  3. Gone with exactly as before he arrived, call me consistent or stupid just sort the defence out and we move up the table
  4. I no nothing about him but he looks like he needs a good meal.
  5. As much as you said that tongue in cheek it’s bloody true, that’s why I refuse to get excited with what ever he does next, I can’t handle all the ups and downs of his regime that’s why I’m not doing backflips over Lampard I’ve decided he has more chance of failure than success, this is not the fault of Lampard this is 110% the fault of Moshiri I now have no belief or trust in anything he has touched. Fair play to some supporters their enthusiasm for all changes holds no bounds, I liken it to dog no matter how much their owners miss treat them they keep coming back wagging their tails enthusiastically, so it’s no woof woof from this old dog
  6. Well if we are not going to give him 3 or 4 games to settle in and the first 3 or 4 games don’t go as you believe they should have or expected, are you then calling for his head straight away. Don’t you think expecting perfection straight away is the sort of unrealistic expectation which contributes to us being one of the poorest teams in the league, let’s just give him some space before we call another manager a failure. Our first game is a cup game not a league.
  7. His biggest test I feel is to get the defence working as a unit, obviously he’s brought Cole in to add his vast experience being one of the countries if not Europes best defenders, to implement a way forward in that department. Not expecting to much straightaway giving him 3-4 games to get to know his players and what they are and aren’t capable of, then I will be for expecting to see a marked improvement in results and performances. With the new players that have come in this window he has options we just have to trust that he knows what’s needed and has what’s needed to implement it. Everything is gamble no matter who you buy or make the manager, but the cards have been dealt for the end of this season and we are definitely all in, let’s hope we are holding the winning team.
  8. Sounds like something you would have in a Theatre , I’ve always believed a manager was responsible for team performance. Seems like a recipe for disaster the more elements you bring into putting a team out the more you risk going wrong.
  9. Who’s playing the ball through Gray doesn’t like to give it Doucoure can’t pass and Richarlison holds on to it to long before giving it?
  10. A really nice lad he’s going to come out flying in his first few games and work his nuts off, which will get us all behind him we love hard work and passion at this club, I just hope he keeps the momentum going in every game, he’s been guilty in the past of taking his foot off the pedal and losing consistency if he does that here the fans will soon turn on him.
  11. I’ll still manage to get on site you won’t get rid of me that easily
  12. Is Boris hoping that the Ukrainian Russian stand off is going to be his Thatcher’s Falklands conflict, and take the heat off all his problems at home. I may seem cynical but he’s gone to the Ukraine imo to get us embroiled deeper than we need to be at this moment in time to try and make it the number one topic of choice for reporters instead of his partying.
  13. I would go a long with that to start with you couldn’t drop a fit Allan and Doucoure imo they have been 2 of our better players, DCL has no real competition so will be an automatic even if he’s struggling to find his form, I would go with Gray and Richarlison because of their goals.
  14. Now we have added VDB and Alli to our midfield and we are expected to play a 433 who would you pick as your ideal 3 in the middle and 3 up top.
  15. Maybe exaggerated most were optimistic and one was very excited which stuck in my mind, I would love him to be a success but I feel less optimistic than most based on his last few seasons, every manager has given him the opportunity at Spurs but hasn’t taken them, can Lampard get more out of him I can’t see how. I’m with the Spurs fan would love to see him become a success for us, but as he said can’t see it.
  16. There has to be we’ve defended a very deep line for a few years now, I would love to see us playing our football more in the opposition’s half than camped in our own.
  17. Not me he’s guilty as fuck we heard what he was saying to her and we saw the damage he inflicted on her, he’s been kept in police custody for 3 days and that doesn’t happen if there wasn’t a case to answer too, that usually happens when they feel there is grounds for a more serious charge than what he was originally arrested for.
  18. Our problem with the high press is we haven’t got the pace with the likes of Keane and Mina at the back when they are pressing near the half way line, they haven’t got the legs to chase a ball played over the top, we could be leaving ourselves wide open having to defend so far up the field. The midfield won’t be helping the back 4 when there 15yrds or more and pressing in unison to a ball over the top, you can only defend that with pace in the back 4.
  19. Your right with our defence very dangerous.
  20. My point being not everyone knows that Steve, quite a few have been gushing about him, I see a player who hasn’t performed in years under various managers, can Lampard be the man to get a tune out of him I hope so, but in all honesty I think that’s a big hope and there’s a greater chance of him not making it here. VDB I have more hope for Utd don’t want to sell because they know and have seen a player with a good future.
  21. To be honest if a deal for a player seems to good to be true it normally is, this is what concerns me about Alli, Spurs will no more about him as player and person than we do, we aren’t getting a player who is a regular in the Spurs team he hasn’t been for years under 3 different managers, it was exactly same with James. It seems some supporters if not most are blinded by the name, like big name trophy hunters or magpies, what we need to remember is these deals were agreed by the selling clubs for a reason and it wasn’t because they were deemed good or of any use to themselves. Some people would do well to remember not all that once glittered is still gold.
  22. You may have said in jest but possibly very true there was a deal going on there but James wouldn’t do the deal for the club he said he wanted to return to due to pure greed.
  23. Not the best deal of the window to be fair an option to buy would have been better, but hey if he gets the goal or the assist that keeps us up then he will be the best deal of the window.
