  1. And its basically the team that was always here, no Stekkers, Bolasie, Gana or Valencia.Robles has proved himself along with Mori, Davies and Holgate, will he change them to fit in his own signings of Gana and Schneiderlin, interesting times a head in the next couple of weeks.
  2. That's bollocks mate I criticised koeman for his tactics and team selections and what's happening now makes me feel justified in what I've said, which was he inherited players much better than how they were playing under him, I was slated with the usual what do you expect with the shit Martinez left him there to old he brought all shit players, as the excuse for how bad we were playing. The fact is that the last 2 games we have only started with one of his six signings in Williams, for me he's starting to get the system right and he's not swapping and changing as much. So for all those who Newty feels contempt for isn't nice to know that when we said the players were better than we were playing we was right, now Koeman is seeing that as well and reaping the benefits by sorting the defence out the one thing Martinez was incapable of doing.
  3. I'd like to think that not many would criticise him if he had touched it, all strikers worth having would I hope do the same and try and score at every opportunity presented to them.
  4. 2-3 years ago but not now at 33 there's know long or mid term gain. If we were looking like relegation prospects or pushing for a top 4 spot then fair enough get him in for the short term benefit he may offer, but it looks like we're finish mid table and he wouldn't improve on that if he came in. We do need another experienced CB but someone around 28-29 to take over the mantle from Williams and Jags when they are finished in the next year or two.
  5. Hope he doesn't change the set up we should be going to Palace saying this is how we're set you try and stop us if you can, we don't fear you so we won't change to suit you.
  6. McCarthy for Barry Schneiderlin looked like he needs a bit more match fitness, so wouldn't start with him but you could see when gets his game back together he's gonna be awesome.
  7. He took control of his area and was decisive when shutting there chances down, if you're a defender that's the sort of display you want from your keeper makes your job easier. Hope he keeps the No1 slot.
  8. I hold no animosity towards him he always gave his all and has never criticised the club or time he spent here, the booing is just part of the game and to be expected on his first return back, and if it made him uneasy then the supporters have achieved there role as 12th man and helped the team to victory.
  9. Your right, and putting the two new signings on the bench probably gave the rest of the lads the kick up the arse some of them have needed, and you could see the work rate massively improve, still need a couple more to make more fight for their positions and we could be on the move.
  10. You could pick anyone of five or six they were that good In the end I went for Mirallas in my eyes he was brilliant worked hard to win the ball back when we lost it, when he had the ball took people on and got there defence running back to their own goal they couldn't handle him, and scored a cracking goal, when he was subbed it didn't matter he had already caused them massive damage and set the game up for us.
  11. The best performance as a whole team performance I've seen for along time from Robles to Rom, still can't take it all in, the way everyone worked for each other was fantastic. When Davies scored it brought a tear to my eyes the emotion of seeing one of us score a goal of that quality got to me, and with the relief of the last few months washing away I had a bit of a moment. Fucking love this club
  12. No I haven't changed my opinion I voted remain and would again given the opportunity, but I know that won't happen. What I want now is to get behind the best exit deal/plan that offers my children and grandchildren a stable and prosperous future, but what really concerns me is that the government responsible for taking us out aren't capable of getting the negotiations right, and are still scaremongering by there comments of its going to be financially tuff, but we haven't really been told anything has to on what deals they are proposing. I think before we start article 50 we should have a general election so that we can have a say on which party has the best exit strategy and plans for the future.
  13. Exactly someone tell bull shit talk he can't leave the past behind.
  14. John if the over 65s hadn't been allowed to vote the remain would have won, I can't help feeling that people who it has least effect on have possibly effected the future of those who are still setting out in life for a Britain they remember with nostalgia.
  15. I go to the Ryder cups the Americans only have one chant USA USA from now on I expect to hear USR USR.
  16. The problem is when your dealing with Mourinho if he's got a figure in his head that he wants for a player he won't budge, he's been like that everywhere he's been and doesn't back down he'd rather let someone play in reserves than lose on a deal. There not desperate to sell so you've got a choice meet their value or look elsewhere
  17. I can't believe that the people who have been defending Koeman with post of the age of defence and DCM, have said they would be happy to take another 33 year old, if Koeman attempts to buy him and the board allow it then our future looks very bleak
  18. Looks like history repeating itself at the moment.
  19. I can't help thinking it would have been interesting to have given him one more opportunity, to see if the form he had hit in the U23s could have been replicated in the first team, it would have cured my curiosity. Good luck to him in a lot of ways he's been a model pro took it on the chin that he didn't fit in Koeman's plans and worked hard to earn himself a move to fight another day.
  20. I didn't know Koeman was forced to sell Stones before he could buy Bolasi, Stekkers and Gana, there's me thinking that Moshiri said he could go because he had been promised he could go at the end of the season, and that they had money to spend.
  21. The way the table is looking at this moment in time, we could finish on less points this season but still be in a higher position in the league, if that was to happen to me that would be failure not improvement.
  22. No you wouldn't expect him to change it completely, but after approximately 40M spent and six in the job it wouldn't be unfair to expect better than where getting.
  23. Koeman hasn't got the dressing room with him, they are for the most the same players as last season who bar sloppy defending and able to hold on to a lead still played some very good football. We didn't hear or see any adverse reactions to Martinez's players after the first 5 games of the season when we were 2nd with 13 points. Then we play Norwich he thinks that this is a gimme or Mickey mouse cup and makes changes and we get tonked, that knocked us out of our stride and from that point on he as constantly changed shape and personnel, even if a player had a good game next week he would be on the bench and you can see in the interaction between him and his players there's not a lot going on, if you look at the the relationship Klopp has with his players you can see they love him and would do anything for him the respect is so great. Koeman has only him self to blame for the lack of football inability he is serving up week in week out and to blame the players and the previous manager for the last four and a half months is burying your head in the sand, he has to be responsible for our displays he sends his team out.
