  1. Someone put a call out to Mario Gomez's agent/mate. 32 in July, perfect for us for a seaso or two.
  2. And tonight proves three things. - Fresh legs means everything in a side set to harass the oppo when looking to claw back possession. - Fresh ideas, being able to vary the play means the oppos cant figure you out easy and nullify. - Having a world class finisher in the side means not relying on a standout signing on the wing to carry you, every side needs that main man, the sides without a superstar striker that can play at least one full game a week are slowly being found out this deep into the season. Well played Saints, up yours kopites.
  3. Besides the Jagielka to Sunderland rumours, theres chatter regards Gibson and McCarthy being targets for Moyes too.
  4. Needs 'back post' tattooing on the inside of his eye lids, so when he blinks he's reminded.
  5. 13.5 phenomenal million pounds up the shitter, nice one coco.
  6. Another winger gone. Seems odd, good prospect been with us 9+ years. Good luck to him, aiming crosses at Carroll shouldn't be overtly difficult.
  7. So Williams is currently leading the three man back line, if he was to get injured or suspended who steps in to lead the back line? Jagielka isn't going anywhere, unless something pretty amazing happens.
  8. Bye Gerry, too much flair not enough fight. A legacy of the clown-shoes era. Wish you well, at least you weren't subdued by the megalomaniacs regime to the point of retirement, though defined here by it. We need workers, forward and back, Barca ditched you for your attitude, and now a sober Everton have, sunny in Italy though so kudos. Hate clown-shoes like hate for souness. Pair of ubiquitous malignant cunts.
  9. The amazing form then the amazing drop off of said form....amazing. If I didn't Know better I'd guess that theres a background issue at play. Djokovic has fallen off a similar cliff too. Chips off the old Bloc(k)?
  10. Put legs in midfield and buy him a bit of time and space. Letting the oppo put two on him and shutting his options down meant he got caught a lot. Let him off the leash and we've a seriously dangerous player turning out for us. With so many midfielders now able to complement the work ethic and subs able to freshen the legs areas up this lad will go from strength to strength. Bestbit of that last part is that the better Barkley plays the better Lukaku plays.
  11. Was injured today playing for Hull against Chelsea, I hope the reports suggesting a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain are a massive exaggeration. If not (and his condition is serious), thoughts and prayers out to him and his family.
  12. Alternatively the players weren't behind "our previous manager" at all, now things have changed, its just taken a while to shake the rust off.
  13. Reading the Robles thread and considering how it has disintegrated has lead back to here. Koeman, two windows in. (senior side) Players out StonesPlayers in Bolasie Williams Gueye Stekelenburg Valencia (loan) Lewin Lookman Schneiderlin Loans out Niasse Cleverly McGeady Kone (please) There is no misunderstanding, I very much dislike "our previous manager", the waste, the atrocious football, the laughable excuses, the amateurism. Be under no illusions, Koeman had a massive task on his hands getting to grips with the laughing stock left to him, I didn't like the public nature of how he hung certain players out to dry, I didn't like his seeming inability to trust a few other players in a poorly performing side, that said, he has moved players on with little fuss, and importantly started to play some of the youth prospects in the ranks, better yet after a seeming eternity of fluid setups has dropped on a formation that the players have adapted to quickly, and is starting to look like producing consistent results. Against him is his alleged stubbornness, his highly undiplomatic nature, and the time it took to see a few obvious changes needed to happen. (Lump in a couple of meek cup exits too if you must) In his favour, he has turned the fortunes of the side and some badly performing players around, eventually got a system to use with the players at his disposal, and although it took months to trust some of the youth players - he is continuing to do so and has thrown Lookman in as soon as possible. Initially trusted Stek but has rewarded Robles with a run due to improving form. A few results don't make a season, but the tide may have turned and with first teamers to return (Gueye, Bolasie) and one to get fit (Schneiderlin) he has improved options to involve. Slowly his high workrate, move the ball quickly system, is starting to take shape - as is the squad. There'llbe a few bumps along the way but this season could still be a huge success and we could end up getting a shot at the europa league next season too. It was painful getting into the sick mess "our previous manager" dragged us down into, it would be naive to think it wouldn't hurt pulling ourselves out of that pit of despair. Lets see what Koeman and Walsh can conjure before the window closes and then what improvements can be seen on matchdays. The healing has begun, maybe the worst of it is behind us.
  14. Back to Robles, I'm not even going to try to hide it, I am at the other end of the spectrum from his biggest fan. Too cosy with "our previous manager" and the comedy howlers he threw in would have made Wright blush, but, some daisy-cutter clearances to the opposition aside he has been above average of late, so fair play to Koeman for keeping faith for an extended run, fair play to our new look defence that have clicked so well and trust the GK & vice versa. Robles has proved he can do some of the exceptional goal keeping stuff, where I want improvement is on the day to day mundane stuff. It's as though he loses focus and concentration because one minutehe looks world class, the next a juggler with no hands. Earned his position at the moment, maybe it was good management chopping and changing earlier in the season to force both gk's to up their games.
  15. Not seen a spread like this since meg ryan was last out on the town.
  16. Erm, it had nothing to do with him being shite at his job and slowly being moved out of presenting focus then. Take a stand and bow out with dignity was about all he could rescue. He's a gangrenous hemorrhoid and I am sure glad he's been lanced off of tv's intestinal gewgaw
  17. And we've been going nuts because of an alcy on the books that doesn't play.
  18. Couple of horrendous kicks aside, good to see some saves and kept us in it. Fair enough.
  19. Ouch, that second half was a bit of heavy going. We played better first half, and should have taken at least one of our chances, especially as forward players got into similar positions to Coleman yet couldn't managewhat he did. Happy with the win, back to backs in the league, but we were pretty slow and ordinary second half and but for a great save from Robles we'd be facing a different day.
  20. Dominance not paid off, cardiac on standby because remi is sniffing around mori, Mirallas ought to have hooked that volley instead of punching it straight, and someone needs to put a reducer on scabeye. Hope we don't pay for being wasteful in the secondf half. Not sure what I'd change here currently.
  21. We all wanted Mori chasing the Ibrahimovic goal down, had he been on his mettle instantly he might have saved the goal, Lukaku following up for Davies goal is fine as he was there to stop a defender, or finish if the ball hits the post. I adore that hunger in a player, you play to the whistle, and if our striker is looking to hoover up every chance and half chance he can then thats great as it proves he is working hard, does want the goals and is looking to be a success.
