  1. Of our 4 league wins so far we only deserved to win the one v Blackburn. We were jammy v West Ham, Portsmouth and Wigan. Even lucky to get draws from the giants that are Stoke and Wolves. So YES we can go down.
  2. Think the reason it was shelved was that it was "Green Belt Land" whatever that means. Also outside the City boundaries being SEFTON Council which I'm sure many fans wouldnt be happy about. Wouldnt bother me though I can only see 2 possibilities at the mo and they are 1. Ground Share & 2. Redevelop Goodison (and I mean a proper revelopment and not some half arsed attempt).
  3. Relegation is something that is getting more likely by the week. Look at the 4 games we've won so far, only the game v Blackburn did we actually outplay the opposition. the wins v West Ham, Portsmouth and Wigan were VERY fortunate. Think we should count ourselves lucky that we are not already in the bottom 3. On a brighter note just about all our games from the beginning of March until the end of the season are winnable but the very fact I'm even bothered enough to look that far ahead at fixtures is a worrying sign. For a while some people have been saying "Moyes has taken us as far as he can", Never really agreed with that before but I am now coming round to that way of thinking.
  4. I dont care how many injuries we've got we should beat Hull, and DEFINITELY should not go 3 goals down, thats just embarrassing. Good job Zayatte scored and gave away the pen because if left to our own devices it would have stayed 3-0. Going down anyone???????????????????
  5. MOTM?, well the player that contributed the most to EFC was Zayatte, scored one and gave the pen away for the other. He did more for our cause than any of our lot. I see ET's love affair with Cahill is still as strong as ever, ahhh, brown love.
  6. I'm on the fence when it comes to Kenwright. Sometimes I'm in 'BK out' mode other times I'm in a 'better the devil you know' type mode. But as someone said earlier a billionaire coming in to buy us is NO guarantee of success, especially now with a few clubs having already been taken over. Of course if more and more clubs do get taken over then there is a growing possibility of EFC being left behind. On the other hand if (and its a big IF) if Everton can somehow gain some sort of success without going down the billionaire route IMAGINE how more satisfying that would be.
  7. Thats because not much happened, certainly Green didnt have anything to do except pick the ball out of the net twice. As for MOTM Johnny probably (as a few have mentioned already), he dont half go in hard. Yakubu did OK for the short time he was on. Fellaini seems to get clumsier (if that is at all possible). Baines wasnt too bad, at least when he gets the ball there seems to be some intention of going forward. Cahill was very ordinary (along with a host of others).
  8. Men against boys.....again. Tactically inept.......couldnt string two passes together. Frustratingly bad tonight, why cant Hibbert pass the bleedin' ball? (he wasnt the only culprit though). We looked clueless probably due to the fact that Moyes had no plan. Went with Howard for MOTM. :grrr:
  9. Honestly, No-One deserves MOTM. Someone said that they gave it to Saha coz he hit the post and sadly that is what it comes down to. Think if I had to vote for anyone then Saha is the only candidate for that reason alone. We were totally outclassed. OK so we had a pathetic makeshift defence but they closed us down in all parts of the ground and I was well impressed with Benfica. I still think we will have 'em at Goodison though. Fail to see how some players like Coleman, Gosling and Hibbert can get votes (and no points for guessing as to who voted for Cahill). One almost positive was that rasping shot on the volley from Billy. If that had gone in (and it wasnt that far away) it wouldve been goal of the season. Shite performance BUT half the team was missing so its not the end of the world. (glass half full and all).
  10. He's Australian so that may be a tall order. I get the feeling he's a blue purely because of Tim Cahill, so once Cahill (and Neill) depart so will EvertonToffees. I'm sure there are plenty of decent, level headed Aussie Evertonians that would be embarrassed by ET's Aussie biased view.
  11. Billy had a decent game but was pushed off the ball far too easily at times. Ive gone with Rodwell (so thats 2 of us). OK so hes played better but his composure impresses me, he hardly ever panics and while he didnt do anything flash for me he was solid and was one of our better players v Wolves, although he was playing more of a defensive midfield role so could appear to some to maybe have "gone missing" to those that just have eyes for Cahill. Cahill was alright but thats about all, unless youre Australian then you were probably watching a different game where Cahill was instrumental in everything and shouldve scored 12. Aussies sometimes have a problem looking at things objectively. At times they remind me of kopites. EvertonToffees is a prime example.
  12. Maybe hes not been as good as previous seasons so far but it is early in the season. I for one realize that no player is consistently good week in - week out. If he stays fit I think he will once again be an important part of the team. Cahill said: "You cannot buy what we've got here. We keep doing it year after year. "We've had thin squads but we work together and come through adversity. We play really hard for this club and it is brilliant to be part of it. "When injuries come up we just deal with it. Results like this are the pinnacle of what we do. "This is the best squad I've ever played in and the most competitive as everyone is battling for places. "So while we had a thin squad against Bate we still put out a decent team and one that was capable of getting a good result." I rate him and if he keeps coming out with stuff like that^^^^ then he'll keep going up in my estimation (and NO, I'm not Australian).
  13. Dodgy in Cheshire, he should move to Liverpool
  14. Great performance. Billy looks quality. Nice to see Distin score and good to see Pienaar get some venom behind one of his shots for a change, for me he should get more goals than he does. My vote went to Billy, hope he plays on the weekend.
  15. I'd turn down Liverpool for West Ham. I'm sure if he chose Liverpool over West Ham then he'd be called a Glory Hunting "Khunt". ??????????
  16. I'm with Milky. Dont get me wrong I think Pienaar is a good player but as Milky said, there generally is no end product.
  17. Good idea. Also think it would be good if the referees had an open post match review to explain some decisions. We know they have a tricky job but some decisions defy belief and need explaining.
  18. I cant see the point in the purple 3rd kit. Surely its too similar to Royal Blue so whats the point. Any clash with Royal Blue would probably clash with Purple too.
  19. Disgusting fan behaviour, fancy wasting good beer.
  20. Crap team around BOB?????. Youre havin a laugh arent you. OK, it was a barren period but we shouldve won the league, shouldve won the league cup and but for a particular ref wouldve got to the FA Cup final in '77. The mid 70's Everton was a great team. (King, Dobson, Thomas, McKenzie etc). the best team to win sod all in my opinion. Understand what your saying about clinging to a hero but think you did the 70's EFC an injustice by calling them crap. Back to Dunc and was he any good. DUNC - played 272 scored 72. LATCHFORD - played 289 scored 138. And Midfielder ANDY KING - played 247 scored 68 !!!!!!!. Dunc was good but not THAT good. Hes popular more for his fight and passion than his actual footballing ability.

Nev to Right Back sounds fine to me. Or he could drop Osman.
  22. I loved Dunc, he provided hope and pride in a dire time in EFC history. However I thought he was over rated. Loved him but didnt think he was a fantastic footballer. Yes he had his good games and when on form he was great but that was not often enough for my liking. ANYWAY, wasnt ANDY "KING" ??????.

Will be interesting to see who gets man of the match. A few contenders. Distin, Rodwell, Fellaini (even if he was only on for 20 mins). thought Cahill put himself about a bit too, could have had a couple of goals as well.

Got away with that one. in the end we had the opportunities to win by 2 or more but most of the game we were very ordinary. Have to say that the subs probably changed the game. Havent always been impressed with Fellaini but he impressed me today. Will be surprised if he doesnt start next match. Pity we didnt get to see much of Billy.
