Felli was the best player on the pitch followed by Jags. Their best player was De Gea which is a compliment to us. Kagawa looked tidy (I was left underwhelmed by him) but he did no more than Leon Osman! A special mention must go to Tony 'Tiger' Hibbert - some of his challenges were brilliant - a good old fashioned rb!!!
 
Re. Fergie's comments... meh! He'd love to hoof it to felli rather than dilly-dally around the box without creating anything - they played like Arsenal... nice passing/possession but no penetration. The only time they bossed possession was when we went ahead and they bought on 3 players worth more than our entire squad!

Although Owen wouldn't surprise me, I don't think we'll go for him - I genuinely think we'll sign Pienaar, Naismith and Dempsey with Drenthe/Straq not being signed and players like Mucha, McFadden, Yobo leaving and I actually can see Big Vic fetching us a few million - don't think baines, felli or johnny will go unless huge, huge bids come in. I also think we'll see Donovan on a perm deal come Christmas with his contract up at Galaxy/MLS in Nov.

He'll come back 'more committed' now he's seen what being at the Champions League club was like... he's definately learnt the grass isn't always greener and I think this will be of benefit to EFC.

Boring hell! You obviously have a big chip on your shoulder about Pienaar but like said he's back and he'll give his all for us and once again as said he makes us better. Pienaar is by no means an angel but you are being very selective about Barton - just the 8 games he's missing at the start of the season is it? If you can't see that Pienaar is good for us like we're good for him then there's not a discussion to have really.

Still or there was? It doesn't matter now anyway with our bid accepted as there's clearly only one place he wants to play his football.

To be fair Hibbert/Heitinga were very good as a partnership vs City - I'm sure Duffy would understand if the manager thinks more experience would benefit the situation. His time will come and he will get game time - which class youngsters has Moyes had and not given game time? I'll put ruddy into the mix but I'd say he's not as good as Howard so he had to move on really!

I firmly believe that Donovan will be with us permanently before sept 1st 2012 with us now dealing with MLS - we could a much better fee for Cahill elsewhere e.g middle east and I believe this to be why - tim's merely a makeweight... (my theory anyway!)
