  1. Need TC to switch with Kone out some more help for Galloway
  2. Sport.ua reporting we've completed the deal. I take them to be the Ukrainian version of sky http://m.sport.ua/news/273740 Edit for link Apparently we're paying 25 million Euros to Dynamo and we're paying Andriy 80,000 £ a week. Perhaps a caveat as there's some mention of the daily mail in the article. Seems a very high figure for the wage.
  3. Been watching Ukrainian sport news. His 'trainer' was interviewed about a possible move to the EPL. Said he thought Andriy would do great and that his biggest strength of his mentality. News reports made it sound like a done deal. Here's hoping.
  4. There's one in about half the south american leagues I think. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/River_Plate
  5. Sagna will definitely play, Zaballeta out injured. Agree that Navas is just about useless, poor man's Aaron Lennon, but against a novice LB like Galloway he may be a good choice. Have him run at Galloway over and over looking to pick up fouls. If any of the back 4 pick up an early caution we could be in trouble.
  6. 100% accurate https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi62.tinypic.com%2F29cw5yq.jpg&hash=a0721188d3d075f463fadb23ce1a2260
  7. If we're actually in for him just pay the fee. No more faffing about, get him in. The Ukrainians are going to want more of the money up front than would normally be the case in dealing with an English or western European team. Everton will want to pay as little as possible up front. Question is going to be whether we can find the up front coin without a sale first. I think we have to do it (or an equivalent deal), shows intent, will only help encourage Stones to keep focused as well. Yarmolenko is on record saying he wants to go and that it won't be for the money. Is anyone else seriously in for him from a major league? If not I think we're in a very decent position.
  8. Bayern fans I've talked to generally think he's a joke. Ha great moments, but lots of terrible ones as well
  9. Not a surprise really. A number of reports had even hinted that our "interest" was just to get WH to pay up. With Gibbo's off-field issues coming to the fore though, I'd rather have Song on 50k, at least gives us some athleticism and steel in the midfield, decent footballer too.
  10. I'd guess that means they're sorting out the legal implications for his contract then first before posting anything. If they planned to keep him there'd be some "naughty boy, but the club will deal with it" kind of news.
  11. 20 million for Berahino!? He's a headless chicken for me, worth maybe half that. Austin much more worth the money.
  12. Telegraph link cites absolutely nothing. Has the feel of a shitty perpetual motion machine to me. Just a bunch of fake twitter chat getting linked together. Happy to be proven wrong.
  13. Will he play for the odd pint and bag of crisps?
  14. I know I'll do time in the vault, but... if Kone is going to play here and there I'd rather spend the lions share of whatever pis pot we have on the no. 10. Bring in some basic cover for striker. Between Kone, Kev, Naisy and McAleny I think we should have enough cover baring season ending injury to Rom. Maybe Seydou Doumbia?
  15. Might well and truly have had enough of 'Arry , now doing promo work for Chelsea. http://talksport.com/football/exclusive-everton-wont-be-able-keep-john-stones-if-he-wants-chelsea-switch-claims-harry
  16. But he doesn't seem to have a left footed cross in him at all. Bryan's the senior pro, a guy we brought in ostensibly to play left back. It's now or never for him. Maybe he needs 1 more week to get fit, but after that if he's not starting then he needs to be sold (in January, not now).
  17. Didn't see a thread. Reckon this is absolute garbage rumour, as he looks too young to fit straight in where we need, but anyway: Portugal U-21 at City, apparently rejected a new deal, was on loan in Ligue 1 last year. Attacking midfielder (#10?). That's about all Metro says. http://metro.co.uk/2015/08/10/tottenham-weigh-up-transfer-of-manchester-citys-rony-lopes-5335633/
  18. Southampton didn't exactly set the league alight opening day either. Much will depend on who's fit for this. 100% a case of 4-4-2 for my money though. We don't have the creativity in midfield to make it worth having the extra body in there at the moment. Much better to have the two up top to give us a chance of having the ball stick. Only real question mark there is Kone's fitness, can he do anything close to 90 minutes? I'd guess no, so maybe switch from Martinez's regular set up at half time. Who plays left back? Why is Galloway starting there over Oviedo, have we given up on him there, is he simply another utility man now? Have to agree that Galloway done well defensively but offers next to nothing going forward.
  19. I think I missed it. What are the terms of the loan vis recall options?
  20. Relax lads. He does appear to be a grade 'A' cunt. Reminds me rather of Drenthe. We'll bring in some complete unknown, from Greece or Turkey most likely, and happily watch Shakiri get himself driven out of Stoke.
  21. We looked so much better with two upfront. Great to see Kone have a hand line that, could have another good option there. We realty lose an attacking element with Oviedo instead of a true winger.
  22. That'll be two months at least for Kev
