This bid may have been responsible for the below par performances of Baines and Fellaini at the weekend. I'm not opposed to losing Fellaini this transfer window but it needs to be nearer 25 + million just for him. Disappointed with bid and it stinks of double standards. I love to see Real or Barca bidding for Van Persie.

Naismith showed there as he has done in pre-season that he can get into the right positions and last thing Martinez wants is for a sloppy pass to let them in and Mirallas had already done a couple of those.

Have to see it again but I'm sure it all started with a poor Naismith header.

To be fair Mirallas has been quite sloppy in this game and Naismith was a smart if uninspiring sub.

 

No more than Osman. The thing is Mirallas gives you such a threat and we all know what he's capable of. Also, having him on means that their defenders are concerned with marking him than pushing forward and putting us under pressure. It was a very Moyes sub (and you know how many points we dropped last season from winning positions!)

He was awful! Bad attitude, lazy, often injured and not even very good........ I can go on, but I guess you realise I wasn't a fan.

I agree. To many times we play a weak team and then end up chasing a game. Get a good lead and then make the changes.

It could have been asked a bit better but then they have been the best club side in England for the last 20 years and won a couple of Champions Leagues as well. While we have won.....an FA Cup. In answer to the original question he will easily get into the United team so long as his attitude changes as since Christmas he has been poor by his usual high standards.

Been looking at the competition website since before it started. They have definitely changed the rules/format. We should now be playing the loser of AC Milan or Chelsea for third place. I think any excuse to get Galaxy playing on finals day! Still it's been a good tournament for preperasion.

Considering it was a loss in a pre season warm up. I really enjoyed that. Lots of things to take away from the game and more positives than negatives. Need to improve with the final ball in the last third and the defenders need to concentrate at ALL times. Night

Well I think Coleman and Mirallas were the stand out of the half. Both exciting and unpredictable on the ball. Naismith put in a decent shift. Heits and Osman were very quiet and need to up their game. I think mentally Heitinga isn't up to speed yet. The rest passed the ball well in non key areas but we miss the killer instinct in the final third. I hope we make a few changes early on and use this game as a superb per season warm up.

Well that was a joke! Defender didn't jump, whinging Madrid bought that decision.

Just outside the box in my opinion. Shame as he skinned Ramos seconds before. Passing the ball well just no end product.
