  1. His abilities are worth £5m. But you have to consider that Reading do not need to sell at all, the cost of replacing him and the money he could be worth to Reading if he has another season like he did last season and they get promoted. He's easily worth £10m to Reading.
  2. I don't disagree that we're going to struggle to sign players. I just don't think that us not signing Victor Obinna is indicative of that in the slightest.
  3. Em, nope. Teams don't sign the best available players. They sign the best available players who are willing to sign for them. There's a massive difference. There's been dozens of transfers in the Championship and below already this transfer window, just because those weaker players are being signed does that mean that all the good players are unavailable?
  4. That logic only applies if we are expending the same effort and resources to sign the shit ones as we are to signing the good ones. If we're not actually trying to sign the shit ones then we can hardly deduce how that will affect our ability to sign the good ones, can we?
  5. Wait, so you want us to sign the shit ones? Seriously folks, some of the stuff on here over the last couple of weeks has been beyond all logic.
  6. At this stage I've learnt to trust Moyes when he goes after United players. I think everyone else has to too. Come on, who can honestly say that they knew Howard, Neville and Saha would be as good as they have been?
  7. Posters slam and insult Kenwright et al. for having no ambition and one of our players shows it and you start insulting him too? Make up your minds people. Either you want to have people with ambition or you don't.
  8. Stick it up front, it'd be better than Anichebe
  9. Quite happy with that fixture list. A lot of big games early on which might help our early season form as we always up our game for the big games and if our form IS shite and we lose then at least it may realistically be only a point dropped rather than 3. It's a great run-in too, no reason that we shouldn't be beating those teams.

That's exactly what I was going to say before you posted! Happy birthday, mate.
  11. Thanks a million, lads. It's very much appreciated
  12. What banter? There's no banter here, is there? Have you all been having banter without me?
  13. Those are pre-rendered visuals lads. Basically it's just a film. Game graphics are determined by the power of the graphics processor to process/render graphics. It's the reason why your laptop can play BluRay films but might struggle to run a game from 2004! The real game won't look anything like that. And it'll probably be shit. Because Tomb Raider has been shit since Tomb Raider 3.
  14. He is free, in that WH aren't getting any cash. However, we take over the appearance based fees. Attractive for us as we don't pay any transfer fee if he gets injured.
  15. LCAB says that we're in advanced talks with Demba Ba. LCAB has also said that he wouldn't pass on any information unless he was sure that it wouldn't have any ill effects so talks must be very advanced.
  16. No shouts for Beckford v Blackpool? My favourite
  17. Hilariously, our own Louis is probably Everton's main source of information on African players
  18. Pre-season matches will be Pay-Per-View. I can see this being far too annoying and fiddly for my liking. I was happy with my subscription, doubt I'll bother paying for pre-season games now. Absolute effort of it.
  19. Not Arsenal on the opening day. Anything but that
  20. Arteta for me. Thought he was absolutely tremendous. Hopefully that performance sets up another big season next year! Osman, Jagielka, Distin, Hibbert and Baines all get honourable mentions.

Deserved win that. Chelsea couldn't be arsed to do anything but swarm the ref and moan.

We're playing quite well... Arteta doing well.
